You can inversely say that the minutes they sat gave them freshness to finish off the half like that.

I agree if the 2nd half they're coming in at 5 minutes again, but I assume it'll be way sooner if the game is close.

Ingles in particular needs to be monitored if he's not doing **** out there.

Wagner, Paolo, and Suggs are a strong trio. Very aggressive. Paolo looks completely different this year. Maybe he's drinking espresso before the game hahahaha.

Sharpe is quickly becoming a good on-ball option. I was a big doubter of his before the draft but the kid looks fantastic.

Huh?

He was interviewed during FIBA and they asked about his injury, he said it isn’t going to get worse and he has to ply through it. I’m assuming they aren’t going the surgery route.

SOUL wrote:I really don't mind 1st half rotations at all usually. Even last year when people were complaining.. teams were getting gassed late because of the amount of minutes they were playing while we finished strong in most games because of that freshness.

In a 2K world where you can turn off sliders, I agree, but IMO having units playing together is helpful especially early in the game. It's in the 2nd half when rotations need to be tighter and based on who is effective or not.

I might be being a little harsh but I feel like Mosley can be very reactionary. Like he clearly wanted to put Suggs back in when Scoot came back and when scoot didn’t come back I don’t understand why not put him back in anyways. I love the Anthony Suggs dynamic
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Relax. Its early in the year. Second units are known to be inconsistent especially on the road. I do kind of wonder about staggering Franz and Lo more like last year but this is a good time to build up chemistry with the starters.

I don't mind extended minutes for the 2nd unit in theory, but I'd stagger one of Paolo/Franz with them.

Cole is the only shot creator on that 2nd unit right now. They're giving Ingles the opportunity to quite a bit of playmaking, but it's probably more than his 36-year-old legs can handle at this point candidly.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills but maybe I'm crazy lol.. the bench outside of Cole was like -3 and hung tight with their mix of starters. Certainly not as good as last game but nothing horrible. Starters just way more effective in comparison.

The "by committee" mantra he preaches annoys me, especially how it manifests itself in rotations and usage. That's why I harp on it.

There is a rumor that Paolo has some sort of issue in his shooting arm/hand. You can see him just going to the rim all the time and him not taking any 3s or long 2s for whatever reason. Also, part of the reason why he's struggling with finishing to a certain degree.

Paolo's decision making is seriously improved this season. That play to end the 2nd was beautiful. We need to run our offense through him more

The rotations are too rigid for my liking. He lacks feel. But just my opinion which means nothing.

Whatever helps us win is what I want. If that means Paolo is double and triple teamed like last game and not taking many shots but playing well, I'm fine with it.

In an ideal world we're winning off the back of Wagner/Banchero every game, but that ain't the real world lol

I mean at this point it's been like six weeks since the World Cup ended. Whatever he had, provided it wasn't a torn ligament that would ONLY heal with surgery, should have healed by now.

Ran into Alex Martins pre game as we were both buying drinks. He was surprised I recognized I him in Portland. I didn't have the heart to be mean but he was a solid guy. Said he was traveling with the team on the first road trip.

But if you think back.. they would've been a net + if he took them out quicker. They were holding water but barely. But like you said let's see how he handles the 2nd half if the game is close so it could all be moot.
