Whatever helps us win is what I want. If that means Paolo is double and triple teamed like last game and not taking many shots but playing well, I'm fine with it.

In an ideal world we're winning off the back of Wagner/Banchero every game, but that ain't the real world lol

Its a weird dynamic. It feels like people would be happy having Franz and Paolo take 50 shots every game, regardless of if we win or not just as long as they can go to other places and talk about how great our core is or whatever.

I mean at this point it's been like six weeks since the World Cup ended. Whatever he had, provided it wasn't a torn ligament that would ONLY heal with surgery, should have healed by now.

He said during training camp that it is still bothering him.

Yeah, I'm quietly over here liking what he's trying to do out there. He just seems a bit rusty. Could be age, could be ramp up time.

It was like this last year a bit too until later on, but from the perspective of managing a team, going full out strict 9 man rotation from the beginning will ruffle some feathers, which trust me, would always have someone staggered. It's also good to see what works and what doesn't work. Again, I only mind if rotations are wonky in 2nd halves.

The issue of staggering means less Wagner-Banchero time together, so there's a decision there to be made as well. I personally like Wagner + bench unit stuff more than leaving Banchero in longer, so maybe bringing Ingles in sooner (when he's not trash) might be a play to make.

That's not it at all. They can have an impact with reserves in other ways than just shooting.

Well Fiba ending/Training camp isn't too far apart. If he took the surgery route. He would've missed a few months. ALSO, going with surgery might affect shooting ability. So going the natural route for now makes sense.

The main issue with the 2nd unit is that the Magic appear to have more confidence and faith in Ingles as a playmaker/shot creator for others than is probably warranted at this point.

He can still pass and make reads, but his legs just look so heavy.

Well you knew he wasn't going to shoot it himself

The end result is still the same, a made 3. But somehow this becomes a criticism of Fultz…

not overreacting but you'd think he'd give just a little bit more than just ball moving

They just announced Simons is having thumb surgery today and he's only going to miss 4-6 weeks.

If surgery was legitimately on the table as a solution for Banchero, he should have gotten it done right after the World Cup. He might not have missed a game at all.

Yeah it's early. Ingles is worrisome though and Harris refuses to mix it up. A lot of pressure on Cole though. Anyway the youngsters came in and were able to turn the pressure back up and take control of the game. Let's see what happens in the first half of the fourth quarter. If he comes back with the starters at the 6 minute mark again with the game close it might not be the best decision.

I thought the  was enough to make you realize it was said in jest.

Guess not.

It’s probably games like this that you want to put Caleb or Jett in for Ingles.

Franz creates SO MUCH space with that stepback 3. It's a legit weapon for him now.
