Ummmm….what?

Blazers aren't a good team... beating teams like this should eventually be blips going forward. Now the real test are coming up.

But you gotta admit this thing was not pretty. Now a win is a win but that will be a bottom 5 team in the league. There is alot from this game that scares the crap out of me.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

That was a great game. Portland played better than I thought they would. Jalen shut the door on the comeback though. Winning ugly is always a good thing.

If Fultz is injured, then Black could see time in LA.

Is it time to hit the panic button on Paulo? jump shoot this year looks worse and he can't hit a free throw to save his life

This is the wrong attitude.

I think we should be happy but not satisfied. Missed rebounds, turnovers, bad body language, standing on offense. You think we can ignore it ? We wont win against good teams playing like that. This will be another sub 40 season if we are satisfied by our performance this game.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Exactly... Last year they most likely would've lost. I'm happy that they took care of business. Now it's time to see how they fair against the better teams in the league.

Without defense we lost this game. This is what I was talking about and why we'll win 10 more games this season than last.

People just need to relax. WCJ probably didn't get any blocks but his rim protection tonight was elite but nobody cares about stuff that actually matters I guess. And Paolo...yes his offense isn't completely polished yet but you have to acknowledge his vision. This is what separates him from Melo and Randle.

I will say that the Orlando defense really shined through in the 4th.

Very tru but they had games like this last year and came out the next game after and looked like a really good team. You just never know. We just need more consistency.

That's premature. The team is better.. he's PPG will probably go down a little because of that. He's playing hard which is a good sign. He'll start hitting J's when he gets used to shooting them gassed a bit from giving effort on D.

Still, this game leaves me with more questions than answers. Guess we got away with it against a young team missing Simons, but this won't fly against the good teams in the league. And there's not that many bad teams this year, it looks like to me.

I wouldn’t say that.

POR defense is trash, driving to the rim is a great idea.

Dude, he made 6-7 free throws vs Houston. He had those bad FT games last year as well.

Of course not. But nothing about this roster offensively has made me think of winning pretty  - our calling card will be defense

Can't agree with that, we deserved the win. Could have closed it out better for the W, team still young.
