We’re good for 5-7 games per season where Moe randomly saves our asses.

It’s a win. What a grind to get there. One things for sure, defense matters when everything else is going wrong.

I’ll take a gutty road win any day of the week.

But on the negative side. This team has got to get better at passing into the post.

I counted 6 times in the second half Paolo had a small
On his back and Franz/Cole couldn’t t get him the ball.

Paolo was visibly frustrated and started running to the top of the key to get the ball and drive on a guard. Not a great strategy but that’s what happens when you get frustrated.

Cole & Franz need to be locked in a gym with Jameer and Hedo until they learn how to make a damn post entry pass!

It's the right mentality but the paolo we know is way more aggressive than what we're seeing..... Could it be this "by committee" bs that mose is spouting?

Hoping it’s just the beginning of the season thing, but we need Paolo to be 1a/1b, between him and Franz. I saw too possessions of Paolo not getting the ball in the post and elbows when he had a clear mismatch.

So is Fultz hurt? I guess i missed it, i thought coach just wanted to go with Cole for his ability to make long shots and open up the court (which he wasn't doing much near the end but he might have been tired?)

11pts 5reb 4stls 2asst 2blks in 27 minutes for Suggs tonight.

14pts 7reb 4asst 2stls for Paolo.. that's a nice game for him. Like seeing the 7 boards and 2 stls/

That's 25pts 12reb 6asst 6stls 2blks for the 2 combined. It's a team game.

The win is a win, Portland is not terrible at all and not tanking yet, Ayton and Grand are high salary players, Sharpe and Scoot are talented. Great job on Dame trade, will also sell Brogdon to a contender later. Beat LA next.

This is my problem with the guards… At some point you have to be able to shoot him the entry pass or run a pick and roll. The guy is a monster downhill.

They did have an issue with the interior passes from the wings.. maybe involve Suggs a little more on the offense in that regard. He's a great post passer. Instead of parking him in the corner.

Feeding Paolo like that makes sense when there is no big in the lane, but if he's spinning off of a small guy to throw up whatever weak stuff he was doing when he meets a big man, it's probably not the best offense either.

In transition though? Of course.

Saw it in the houston game as well when he had van vleet on the block that's BBQ chicken and we didn't get him the ball....now it happened in this game a few times as well when he had sharpe just pinned and he also had scoot there and didn't find him somehow......we need to get him the rock in those situations and i don't think we made a good effort to do so

The worst part was Paolo had the rookie Scoot on him solo in the paint, and he had 5 fouls.

They’ve got some really nice players.

Just imagine Sharpe on the Magic. That guy is going to be so good. You can just see he’s on another level.
