Game 3: Utah Jazz (1-1) @ Phoenix Suns (1-1) | Saturday | 6:00 PM

Post#1 » by Saberestar » Sat Oct 28, 2023 11:40 am

Suns star Bradley Beal (back) will miss Saturday’s home opener vs. Jazz and Devin Booker (foot) is expected to be doubtful to play for second straight game.

Read on Twitter

The Jazz are a really big team.

Their backcourt are Horton-Tucker (6'4 and has a huge wingspan and wide body) and Jordan Clarkson (6'4).

Then Markannen (7'0), John Collins (6'9) and Kessler (7'0).

We are gonna need Nurkic out of foul trouble for this one.

Vogel won't do that.

Sadly I agree but when you’re under powered matching up might be a wise decision

Not ideal, starting to get a little concerning with as challenging as west will be.

I'd guess John Collins. BTW, Jazz played a pretty intense game last night and traveled late.

We know booker and Beal won’t be award eligible.
They’re only damaging their own legacies.

I don’t think Suns can beat the Jazz without them.

Back issue since last season that didn't heal during offseason. Beal plays two meaningless preseason games and now can't play meaningful regular season games. Yeah feeling much better about Beal's future availability after this tweet.

Should start

Goodwin
Okogie
Durant
Metu
Nurk

Allen and Gordon just better suited off the bench

"He tweaked his foot late in the game."

Frank Vogel when asked Thursday about Devin Booker sustaining an injury in opener at Golden State.

This is when it appears Booker suffered the injury.

Phoenix Suns list him doubtful for home opener vs. #Jazz with left ankle sprain.

Its okay to miss some games in the beginning of the season... More minutes and shots for the rest of the crew that need it more than the big 3...

A few things to keep looking for:

KD getting minutes by himself with this team is good... Feel like that last game he finally opened up. Gaiing more confidence and will be better with the big 3 back...

Okogie continued growth
Goodwin to prove himself as our 6th man

If these two guys ^ prove they can handle the load we can even load manage and play 1 or 2 "main guys" even when healthy...

And then just hoping the rest of the guys can find their way... Allen, Yuta, EG, Eubanks have been disappointing so far... But this is the time to step up and prove themselves...same with the rest of the guys...

One of my favorite things is having a good bench...so when the big 3 are playing and go to the bench they can keep the lead or take the lead....OR when our big 3 are missing some time they can step up and fill-in with out us worrying...

Thats why I dont mind these early games missing some of the pieces because it gives the other guys more minutes to gel... Hope to see some more guys step up tonight!

Go Suns!

This will be the case more than we would like this season. I hope we have everyone for the in-season tournament.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
