Eventually they will be forced to play. I know our FO probably doesn't give a **** about the regular season, but with the depth in the west you probably can't coast this year. Lot of teams looking to make a leap this year.

Yeah, that's right. If you check the standings, there are ONLY THREE TEAMS NOT TRYING TO WIN. Some teams may fall off namely Minnesota and Utah, and Memphis is a question mark without Ja for a while, but that's it. 12/15 teams are trying to win.

And add to that, you need to be top 6 to avoid the play in. So our situation gets even tighter. 6 spots, 12 teams. Other teams got better. Math isn't adding up to an easy regular season if we're playing it safe with our guys.

Im guessing we have more talent than everyone (well, maybe more talent than everyone bar Denver simply because they have the most talented player in the league) so our main battle will be just getting/staying healthy. I mean, every team does to an extent. But we're coming in banged up with guys who were injured last year or have a history of it.

I'm guessing your middle name is "Edgy." Could be wrong since I'm guessing, not that I honestly care about you or your milquetoast sarcasm.

Please god don’t play KD 40 mins again. Cap it at 34. I get it, we were terrible without him on the court. But can’t get better without playing, and it’s a dangerous time health wise for us.

Hopefully the role guys play better at home. They almost always do.

We should have more top end talent due to having 3 previous #1 options who have all averaged 27 or more in a season. But there are a few teams who have a competitive top two guys. Obviously KD and Book are probably tops, but Kawhi and George are very close. Luka and Kyrie are close. Then it's hard to not say Jokic and whoever, probably Murray, and Curry and whoever (Wiggins or Draymond, whoever you deem more important, but Klay gets hot too).

I thought Memphis would be tough...losing Adams hurts, but when Ja gets back, I think they will be tough...they still are pretty tough just with Bane, Smart and JJJ. I have no idea what to expect from Minnesota, but when you think about it, they have a lot of talent with Ant, Towns, Gobert, McDaniels,Conley, Naz Reid, even slo mo is fairly solid. They should probably just mostly stagger Gobert and Towns to always have a stud C on the floor, and rarely play them together though.

I also still think it's hard to count a healthy AD and LeBron out too. People mentioned their 3 pt shooting and it was bad, but Russell shot over 41% from 3 last year on 6.5 attempts per game, Reaves shot 40%, Prince has hovered between 38 and 40% the last few years, and Gabe Vincent showed with Miami he can get hot, and shot 37% a couple years ago. So they do have some decent shooters...both starting guards are good.

Fox is killing it so far....so him and Sabonis...and Keegan Murray is solid..Barnes also had a monster game the other night. Who knows about Zion..but him and Ingram are a nice duo..they you have McCollum, Trey Murphy and Herbert Jones. And OKC is young with a lot of talent..they will be scary pretty soon with SGA, Jalen, Giddey and Chet....with Dort on the defense.

There likely won't be a ton of easy games this year, so yeah, the regular season matters. I don't think many games will separate like the 3-10 teams again this year. Last year we had 45 wins as the 4 seed, the next two had 44, and the 9th place Pelicans were at 42, only 3 fewer wins...so games like that Lakers game and tonight's really matter....but we mainly need to beat the teams we are in direct competition with...to not only get us the W but hand them the L.

Crazy the Wildcats host 11 ranked Oregon St on ESPN, the Diamondbacks are in the World Series on Fox and the Suns are all on at the same time.

Damn I just tuned into the Cavs/Pacers game beause it is fairly close and I figured it would be a good game with some good young players and immediately saw Garland, Mitchell and Jarrett Allen are all out. Haliburton is playing though. Indy looks healthy...got Mathurin in there, Toppin, Turner.

I also noticed Jalen Smith had a pretty good game the other night. Seems like he shot the 3 well and had quite a few rebounds.

I was wondering why the Jazz went to their bench early, but I forgot they played yesterday so that is likely why. Plus their bench is killin us now.

Im really happy with how we have looked last game and up to now without 2 of our stars. We don't look horrible and we play hard. Theres some periods where we look ROUGH but whenever I see those stretches it's just like "ok, was kind of expecting that anyway".

Anyway, would really love a win here. Sucks we ran out of gas against the Lakers, but if the Jazz are a little worse than LA maybe we can sneak a win.

Theyve got a couple guys on that squad, bench and starting, who if they get hot can kill you outside of of course Markkannen.

I think Horton Tucker, Clarkson, uh Sexton...Horton Tucker isnt super good but he can get some points. Could be a good test for our defensive back court guys who are playing right now.
