I’d be thrilled with that outcome. Honestly, I’d probably take Jaquez/Lowry/ 1 FRP. I think Jaquez is going to be awesome & he’d be a perfect fit on this team.

That would be a very good haul. Miami can't trade their 24 1st, though.

The just Lowry, Jacquez, and their UNP 27 1st mentioned above for Harden honestly is already a better package than anything the Clippers have to offer.

However, Harden really does not fit at all with the Heat culture.

Isn’t the whole point of a strong culture is that you can bring in difficult personalities and make it work? I think the real issue is specifically that Jimmy Butler would eventually hate him & it’d become a problem.

I don't think so. I think the point is that you can maximize any given player's effectiveness. You create a strong culture by choosing the right people and avoiding the wrong ones. There could be circumstances where otherwise difficult personalities take especially well to a rigid structure, but I don't think that's James Harden.

Not even as a flyer for one season if he is deemed a player who can move the needle? Not saying it's necessarily a perfect fit, but I go along with Jailblazers, except that Butler and Abedayo would clearly need to sign off on the deal.

An interesting local analogy would be the Eagles bringing in T.O. in 2004. They were considered a group with a strong locker room culture, and for one season it worked beautifully as he was the 'missing piece', but after that it quickly ripped the team apart and they were never the same.

I know he's not the best athlete in the world, but do we think Jaime Jaquez can be a decent defender of Jaylen Brown?

I think Heat culture is about discipline and being in peak conditioning. There was a story about how Iggy was given knee pads on practice. He said he didnt need them. But after seeing how hard the practice was, he said after that he realized what those knee pads are for.

Well to be fair, Harden’s camp has been saying that Harden is in great shape. And if that’s true then maybe there are some legs that he could fit in that Heat culture.

Sixers can’t trade Reed, Sixers don’t want Collins( extra year on his Contract).
How much better than Tucker is Collins?
Sixers pass!
