Looks like we need to get to the championship this year, so Butler can't keep running from us.

I actually was ready to predict Jimmy not playing yesterday. Great opportunity to win a game. Despite everyone said how great Bam is, he never scare me. I hope we rack up a few wins quickly because I don't want to see a Harden for Towns mid-season trade.

KAT for Harden. Interesting. I'm not saying I'd do it, but I'd only do it if Harden was extended at a reasonable rate say $30 million per year for the next 3 years.

Harden (plus Simmons and Kyrie) were all given big contracts, all chose to miss games for personal reasons, and all demanded trades. I don’t want any of them anywhere near Ant, who will soon have enough player empowerment to force a trade if he wants.

I tend to agree, however I do think that Ant is the type of personality who could overcome that bad energy and instead sway them....also I personally don't put Simmons in the same category.

Re: Game 2 | MIA @ MIN
Against Toronto, Ant matched his career-high with 14 rebounds. That first 14 rebound game came in 2021 when Jimmy Butler came to town and actually played. Ant had 33/14/6 and...

Re: Game 2 | MIA @ MIN
Bleh. Was looking forward to a hype game with Butler back in the building. Now this could go either way. Best case, we get an easier win and lick the wounds from that horrible first game or we drop this game too Wolves fandom goes into absolut freefall two games into the season. The second option is much more characteristic of this franchise's luck but I'm hoping for option 1 lol. Good God its going to be way too brutal around for the second damn game of the season if we flop this one away.

This will be a really good test for the Wolves. Last season the team was terrible in games they clearly should win, so it will be good to find out if they have solved that issue.

Fair enough.

I still maintain the “Simmons, Kyrie, and Harden would ruin Anthony Edwards” rhetoric is kinda silly, but James Harden’s value is pretty brutal, right now. He isn’t someone that you trade an All-NBA Center for, his value is more-so in the Mike Conley, Kyle Anderson, and weak pick range (not advocating this, just giving context).

November 24, 2017. That's the last time the Heat won in Minnesota.
They are 0-5 since then (0-4 in the Butler era).

I prefaced that if I were to trade for Harden it would require him to be extended at $30 million a year. For a player on his level that would be a bargain. He led the NBA in assists just last year at a nice efficient 3+ A/TO. His scoring efficiency when you factor in FTs and 3s was good also I believe. Good steals and good out of position rebounding. I don't care how popular he is or cool it is to like him. He's good.

The boys can't let us down on the home opener, can they?
It should be a good night.
Let's hope the ball doesn't get "sticky".
