I’m not as down on Jaylen as you guys. He’s a legit two-way star...he just needs to not handle the ball so much, Jrue and DJ should do it as much as possible.

Also, man, Spo was pissed after that unsuccessful challenge. Thought he was going to pick up a t.

I agree that he could be a monster in that role. We have the personnel to make it even more obvious that that's what he should be doing. It's just up to him to recognize and accept that role and to Joe to push him in that direction. I'm not supremely confident that will happen, but I'm optimistic.

I don't have league pass. I'm sure not everyone does.

To me it’s worth it. I can’t stand Burke. I didn’t mind ESPN when JVG and Mark Jackson was there. This mean this year we have to hear Burke in the ECF and the Finals, yack!

Games shouldn't be this close for a championship level team,
far too many blockhead plays and poor 3-point defense.

It’s game two. 3 point defense was fine. Heat made a billion contested shots.

And so did NY. They have been awful early on in their 3-point defense.

Oh I definitely agree with you there! Espn has turned into a dump.

Teams making contested shots isn’t bad defense. The Knicks had far more open looks than the heat did tonight. The heat just shot it out of their behinds

See, the league implements these rules where every now and then they call a flopping violation on random players, but when the actual floppers do it (i'm looking at you, Butler, Lowry, et al), they get rewarded instead.

Good win and thank you for beating the Heat. I'll be back to thank you all for your next 3 wins over the Heat this season.

That's the problem with adding rules. You don't just have to make sure the rule itself is fair, but that you have a plan for a just enforcement of that rule. The lack of that plan can take a reasonable rule and turn it into yet another way stars get an advantage over other players.

Last year's squad would have started the season 0-2. The Grizzlies are 0-2 (at home). That's a coincidence.

Exactly. Case in point - these last 2 games. Game 1, Zinger - not a known flopper - gets called with one which to me was a 50/50 or a no call. Game 2, Butler and Bam - who flop at every chance they get - get rewarded with free throws even when their flops were blatantly obvious. Where's the consistency?

Last year's squad started the season 3-0 though and 21-5. Played the Sixers and the Heat on the road the first two games.
