3 home games to start the season, clifford crowing about how rested they are and how they have been able to train, and they completely **** the bed.

playing up to the joke reputation

We're abysmal defensively.

LaMelo was absurdly bad. The $100mm sloth.

Typical Cliff. Defensive difference maker on the bench having a huge game? Don't play him while the other team scores at will.

Steve Clifford time has passed. It's time for a new coach.

Good thing we will get another nice lottery pick.

Miller 2nd on the team in minutes (probably the reason coach will give for sitting Williams in the 4th) and 0 turnovers.

Two types of coaches - tacticians and motivators. I've long known Cliff isn't a motivator. I'm starting to doubt he's a tactician.

Mark could've had a good 25/15 game. I guess Clifford tried to go small with them. That was a mistake.

Someone needs to grill Clifford in the post game presser about wtf Williams was doing on the bench. Unless he was hurt, absolutely idiotic having him sit after his performance in the first half.

The Nets abused Lamelo down the stretch switching until he was on ball defender.

He needs to have a good look at himself because hes's been an absolute disgrace so far this season.

Got paid, time to slack off it looks like.

I can tell by his mannerisms he's beyond upset at himself. That's no excuse at all. He just needs to relax and get back to free flowing ball.

Cliff hasn't been one since like 2017. The last two seasons of his first stint here proved he was flawed beyond repair on both ends of the floor

maybe he needs to get yelled at by his dad on a reality show. but nah I think he's still not 100% and it's **** with his head as he tries to get up to speed in live games early in the season when everybody's got all the juice.

If we didn’t get blown out in the first quarter, I think we could’ve won. We won quarters 2-4 98-91. Granted that doesn’t tell the whole story but when you put yourself in a hole immediately, it’s pretty hard to climb out even with 3 quarters left.

LaMelo really isn’t up to speed yet. I didn’t realize he wasn’t going full speed / contact until right before preseason. We are also pretty bad with both he and Terry in the backcourt. If they think LaMelo is their franchise guy then you need to move Terry and get a better fit next to him at the SG spot.

I'm beginning to think you don't like LaMelo. Just a hunch.

I like LaMelo a lot. I think he's going to have a big year (though I'm starting to think I got that wrong) But he's been way off the pace and it's time in year 4 to start calling out the crap that he should have got out of his game after his rookie year.

He's also coming off an injury and getting back into game shape. With shooters, sometimes they endure slumps. It happens. You've been entirely too critical of him.

He's been given a max contract. With that comes higher scrutiny.

If you want to act and be treated like a star, you need to accept that youre going to be held to star standard.

He's playing like ass. He needs to step it up

Exactly. If he played in LA or New York with that big contract and started off the season like this he'd be talked about on First Take the first 20 minutes of the show.
