To be fair, Lillard is MUCH better than Beal.

Lillard is seen as a key piece on a Final's contender. You can probably win a title with Lillard as your 2nd best player, and you can make a conference finals with Lillard as your best player.

Beal is on another tier. As the best player on his team, he doesn't even get you to the playoffs. He can probably be the 3rd best player on a contending team.

Oh, for sure. For that matter, even at this stage of his career, Chris Paul is a better player than Brad.

Yeah kind of silly comparing the two even with the NYC. I mean Brad **** the team plain and simple but dame is just a league better than Brad and always will be.

$29M a year for Vassell.

Vassell was drafted 2 slots after Avdija, though he has definitely had a better career so far.

Crazy market…If I look at Bilal and compare him to Vassell, I believe he has a greater ceiling due to a better physical profile (couple of inches taller and much bigger wingspan). Very early days though…Fingers crossed he develops the right way!

Yeah, hopefully this doesn't mean Deni is hoping for 29.5 mil per year based on draft position. I like the guy, but I'd let him walk before I give him half of that. Maybe a more complete team can use Deni at that price, but not a bottom of the barrel team like us.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

I'd probably be willing to give Avdija a contract roughly equivalent to what Rui Hachimura got - $17M a year or so. So, something like 4-years, $70M. I'd do it as a descending deal like Kuzma's.

If Avdija wanted more, I'd wait until next offseason. Avdija with a reliable 3-point shot is a $25M a year player, but I'm not giving him that money unless he proves his shot is reliable.

I do not understand what could have made Devin Vassell seem to be worth that kind of $$$.

Has he proven to be an outstandiong defender? He certain hasn't been outstanding on offense.

It's true that both his scoring volume & efficiency rose some last year, but neither is particularly outstanding.

I read some where that they front loaded it and it's defending.

The one interesting thing in his stats is the rather high assist rate. Vassell has become a half-decent playmaker, which leads San Antonio to believe there is a lot more improvement to be had on that front. He is not merely a 3&D finisher.

He has some pretty frank assessments of players’ talents and value, including players on his roster. Not the usual mealymouth stuff you get from most front office people

Ugghhh. Totally disagree. Unless the reporter is a complete hack, Booth ran his mouth without knowing he was on the record. You can like what he said, but the lack of awareness is not a positive attribute for a GM.
“Under no circumstances would I make or approve of those kinds of comments for public consumption," Booth said. "That’s not my character, as a person or an executive.

That makes sense, I wasn’t sure whether it was a good move or a bad move. Still, it was entertaining compared to GMEG

Embiid to the Knicks now? The Process starts over in Philly.

I hope the Wizards are calling Philly right now, offering any of our 25-and-older players for any of their future picks.

Heck, I'd probably give them Jordan Poole for that Clippers unprotected 1st.

I think that ends up netting them Zach Lavine or Anunoby or something.

Raptors are going to be forced to tank soon and Chicago has been putting it off for too long as well.
