The level of talent that some of these teams have is incredible. Unfortunately it also shows how far away the Knicks really are from a championship.

In all seriousness, trying to pry one of Morris or Covington from Philly to provide depth at 4 should be a no brainer move.

Absolutely. Or even Batum.

I'm legit in on Buzz's trade.

They won't take F0urnier back, he would eat into their caproom.

He's expiring, the same as Morris/Covington/Batum.

Come this deadline things will get interesting around the league

I hope so. Three dreams dashed at once. The suffering on here will be epic. Can't wait.

Batum for Randle. Let Randle sabotage the sixers from within.

Team Option next summer. It would basically be expiring for expiring.

If you didn’t want Harden, then what would you want the Knicks to do in this instance?

The point is the Knicks flexibility. I see other teams positioning themselves while this team clings onto hope that someone will ask out of their situation. Suddenly, the 76ers have cap room next Summer, and picks. And while I maintain they aren't a designation for free agents, can't say the same for trade targets.

It works out better to try and get someone with a trade and then sign Siakam in the off-season.
