Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
It'd be in thing if this team looked cohesive and Beasley was out there running around like he is now... But everyone looks lost on defense. It's as if Joe Barry is the DC. Gonna give it some time but the Team needs to get acquainted to each other.

It would be for giving the coach no legit options at this spot. Only player with any experience is a poor fit next to Dame. GM gave him this no win decision to make.
Personally I don't blame the GM, they are not stupid. We know they know this. There just wasn't time to fix before season, they'll address it later. But for folks like you who seem to want make conclusions after 3 games should probably put the blame for this problem where it really lays.
Nah, Horst gave Griff several options I'd be fine with. None of them are perfect but if he went with any of MarJon, AJJ, Crowder, or AJ Green I'd be perfectly fine with. He literally chose the one option that was obviously never going to work and for that I fault the coach whose making that decision
So good GMing is the only vet player who was never going to work along with guys who've never played in the NBA or are clearly out of position that you acknowledge all have flaws/issues too. Gotcha.

They all have flaws but they all also atleast have some chance of working. Beasley doesn't, he's a volume chucker with terrible defense. I literally can't imagine a worse fit for our 5th guy. The fact that Griff can't see that is very worrisome

I think you're conflating arguments others have made to what I've said. Tbf I've been on team MarJon for the 5th spot. But I could atleast understand the direction if Crowder was the 5th starter

Beasley hasn't had a usage rate lower than what MarJon's was last year since 2019. Even this year you talk about Beasley not shooting that much and yet he has a higher usage than MarJon so far.

Hes playing more mins thsn marjon so if he averges 30 mins a game n marjon 15 you would expect beasley to have the same usage as marjon because.......and if he doesnt hes considered a chucker cause hes shooting 11 shots a night

Playing more doesn't effect your usage %.

Than give me a brief explanation then hes our starting shooting guard getting 24 mins a night averging only 11 shots a night i dont get why thats so bad.Allen was almost getting that and would bet if marjon got 24 mins a night he would be shooting 11 shots a night

Brook is going to get an extended try at fitting as he's earned it, Khris and Dame aren't made for aggressive D. We can't have just Giannis suited to what we're try to do on D, SG is the one open spot to add an athletic defender. Beasley is obviously a stupid option, I'm assuming he's given the first shot at the spot as a veteran thing and we'll be done with this in a week or so.

Tbf while I don't love his offensive fit that's not the reason I don't want him starting. I think Beasley is a perfect guy to score off the bench for us. His defense is atrocious and that's why I don't want him starting in a lineup with already plenty of scorers and that's desperate for a plus backcourt defender

Promised the starting role over Grayson Allen?

I think they were always going to move Allen. Expiring salary always made him the most moveable.

Beasily looks lost on both ends. The team looks way better in the few minutes each game they are allowed to play without him anchoring the team into stagnation.
You could instantly have a more cohesive team on both ends by removing him from the rotation entirely.

I would have been done with it last night. They would have won by 30 if they didn’t keep putting Beasily back out there to let Herro have whatever looks he wanted while Miami sent Beasily guy to help on Dame and Giannis.
Besides RoLo, there isn’t another player on the team that could be more of a negative on the floor than Beasily.

That's the exact example that I'm reminded of when I see some of the defensive breakdowns. It's like the packers secondary letting someone waltz into the end zone unaccounted for an easy TD. I've seen way too many easy dunks and layups, just a wide open path to the basket.

To me when we were up 20+ it was the perfect opportunity/excuse to get AJJ in there and see if he could contribute with the regular rotation guys. Unless he was hurt I don't understand why he wasn't in the game. His energy alone would have stopped some of the bleeding.

Apples and oranges. 11 men covering 100 yards versus 5 men covering 94 feet.
Even if there are schematic issues (overly aggressive), you can’t sort those out fully without also removing a guy who will never and has never fit into any defense and who is not a good enough offensive player to keep out there.
Tell me one thing Beasily does above average for an NBA player. Shooting certainly isn’t it because he been at or below league average the past three seasons on 3P%.

Are people legitimately arguing we can’t evaluate Beasily because the system might have flaws?
How about all the prior teams that evaluated him, pulled him from their rotations, got better by doing so, and were happy to get rid of him?
