Mose just stood there all wide eyed while Coles shot wasn't falling and he was getting smoked on defense

Wow our 3rd string center had more assists than all of our pgs and he only played 4 minutes.

No. We need 5 more years of evaluation.

I think we should just trade Franz and Paolo for whoever has the highest 3% percentage right now. Who needs evalutation?

Don’t get too hasty. You might need to just trade the guys that aren’t on rookie deals still.

The lack of assists for Suggs & Fultz definitely wasn’t on them - nobody they passed to could put the ball in the hoop.

The team will go as far as Paolo and Franz take them, ultimately. Maybe even Suggs considering his value so far.

Can't do much with them shooting under 40%.

Fultz isn't part of the core but I sure am happy as hell we don't have FVV on that ridiculous contract over here.

NBA back in those days looked execlly how kids basketball looks like. One kid throws hail maries while others yell "I'm open"

Yes Lakers, Kings, Spurs, etc. all played kids basketball

Random offensive set from 2005 finals. 9 men packing space between rim and FT line. Our "spacer" Prince averages 0,6 threes made a game on 35% . Worst part is fact they have 11 sec left so this is not defense pressuring player on expiring clock, it's just your usal 2000s offense.
This literally was kids- offense.

Yes a brief moment in time proves what the usual offense was.

Billups was an excellent 3 point shooter lol. Heck Rasheed Wallace was a sort of beginning of the PFs that could shoot 3's. The Spurs weren't exactly a bad shooting team either. 3 pointers were actually taken back then...just not 100 times a game.

Kings were one of the best passing teams of all time and had great shooters as well. Lakers...come on.

Kids basketball...seriously?

I wouldnt have signed him on that deal, but if we couldve gotten him for 30 mil, 35 with incentive i wouldve pulled the trigger

His impact would be alot better on our team than the Rockets

Paolo and Wendell are both atrocious right now.

Fultz too, I was one of his biggest advocates, but he is not playing like a starting PG at all.

I had such high hopes for this season :(

Wendell Carter is really looking like food out there....he wasn't getting bodied like this last year, he's allowing other centers deep position and is not rebounding

Pick and roll offense was a kids offense and yet they still run it?

2003-04 for example is one of least efficient nba seasons ever played. Including eras without 3 point shot

League's average that year were:
43,9% FG
34,7% for 3
75% FT

47% eFG.

Teams averaged 93 ppg.
League was filled with non-shooters from illegal defense era, and there was incredible amount of usless tall players that didn't have any baksetball skills, you could cheat, leave them open and fill paint. It made it near impossible for stars, no matter how talented they were, to actually play dribble penetration ( or efficient pick&roll for that matter) because teams were ganging on star players, especially if that star wasn't big man ( Kobe, T mac, Carter, AI etc).
On top of that officiating was ..different. Illegal screens, pulling, pushing, grabbing hands was kind a normal.

And on top of all that, offensive sets were simply - poor. Bunch of pin downs for mid range Js, endless isolations, herro ball celebrated etc. You also had decline in overall talent that was comming through drafts in that period, up until Lebron's draft, there were 3 horrific draft classes in a row. For crying out loud, Mike Dunleavy Jr. was 3rd overall pick, after spending 3 years at college where he averaged 17 ppg in year 3

You can tune in just about any game from that era and you will have same things happening over and over again like:
- at least one-7 footer on both teams who is usless wood but "rebounds"
- at least 2 worthless bodies who don't contribute to anything but "play hard"
- at least 1 street credit guy who is hood, whatever that ment to them
- at least one star player going 6-21 FG or something ugly like that
- at least 30 mid range pullups that are bricking all over the floor
- at least 30 isolation set peaces where player dribbles the ball for 15 seconds before pulling fadeaway 2- brick

I mean, Spurs had set play where David Robinson was screening for Duncan 8 feet from rim, Duncan would almost always move half of a step and took hook shot. You know... hook shot he could take without David Robinson doing anything or even being there.

It was just... different . I don't really blame coaches, they didn't know any better, they were relitcs from past eras where 3 was "evil bad thing" and league was still filled with obsolete bigs that were required to have from illegal defense and no 3 sec in a paint era.

but yea, from today's perspective, it 100% was kids basketball.

Billups was only good shooter on Pistons.

Sheed averaged, for example in 2004-05, 0,9 threes made a game on 31,8% Hamilton for whole that season made 37 threes as shooting guard. Prince 47 as starting SF. ( on 34% and 30% efficiency).
Matter of fact, i pulled out one game against us in 2005, where Pistons, as team shot 1-10 for 3. And it's probably possible to find games with them making 0 threes and winning.

Kings were one of few teams who actually played bit different ( bit later Suns as well). But teams like PIstons & Spurs were unwatchable , yet sucessful mostly because things i wrote above this replay.

I called it kids offense because whole league was stuck in inefficiency and nobody knew how to dig out of it. This especially goes for 2001-2005 period and post illegal defense transition.

Road trip. Early season. Back to back against the LA teams. Not very bothered with the results but I'm a little disheartened at our shooting and concerned that Paolo and Wendell have started relatively poorly.

After this Clippers loss, Fultz still has a 0.00% three-ball line and a 0.00% FT line.

The only players with a positive plus/minus line were: the Brother's Wagner.

Schedule loss.

That being said, I want to show restraint and not overreact to a four game sample size. But compared to my/your/the general expectations for this team this season, suffice to say, I'm concerned.
