That being said, I want to show restraint and not overreact to a four game sample size. But compared to my/your/the general expectations for this team this season, suffice to say, I'm concerned.

What we fans are learning is that the Magic is neither good nor bad; this is a mediocre team. It is perfectly on target for the special 41-41 record many here envisage.

Some basic boxscore thoughts.

Orlando lost the FG% battle, and thus the game.

Got to the line an impressive 33 times, but only made 19 FTs. That 57.6% line is awful.

If Orlando had won this it would have been because the bench dominated; the Clippers' bench had 39 points. Yuck.

I don't know how other people feel about it but markelle...... Might need to start having realistic conversations about him....starting to understand why he hasn't been extended yet

Fultz still not hitting 3's or getting to the line. I'm not sure why people continue to think this guy is part of our future. He's never bringing more to the table than what he does right now, and it's not nearly good enough. The logical move would be to trade him, we won't though.

What happened in the 3rd quarter? Man it was sad to see Westbrook and George celebrating and being cocky and our guys having zero response for it. And the Suggs/Cole/Fultz lineup was just pure dumb for how long Mosley ran it.

Also, Black and Goga really deserve minutes now. My knee jerk reaction to WCJ’s performances would be to start Goga. I desperately wanted to see Black come off the bench to defend Westbrook when Suggs came out. Even in garbage time, Goga and Black both looked poised and were orchestrating plays.

Back to back on the road against a team much better than us,are you guys serious about these end-of-the-world complaints?

2-2,one good game, one so and so,one bad game, one schedule loss.

nothing to be worried or hyped, let's see after 10-12 games how the situation is.

We just stopped playing any semblance of defense for about 6-8 minutes. They hit some threes, got up like 15 and it broke us.

I agree that Black should get some minutes. I'd also like to see Jett over Ingles as he's not offering us a lot. Even Houstan looks good and can space the floor (though he's not getting minutes over Gary 'Gary Harris' Harris or Suggs).

It's too early in the season for sweeping statements, but other than the leadership piece I don't see what Fultz is currently offering that Black doesn't.

I would say Clippers started to play up to their talent.

First quater by Clippers:
George 0-6
Kawhi 0 - 3
Westbrook 0-3

And yet Magic are only up by 5 because despite holding them on pathetic 13 points in first Q, we scored.... 18. :(

In 3rd Q, PG started to cooking 3s ( 4-5)
Westbrook 3rd Q:
transition layup ( Suggs slips on floor)
transition layup (nobody guards him )
steal- transition layup
layup on set defense
postup
layup

If you give former MVP and one of most athletic players ever- 6 layups in quater... ofc they will blow you out.

How is your weather report today ? -16 seems like middle of winter. Fultz/Suggs/Cole lineup is dumb ? I am sure its Cole who single handily destroyed your favourite two man lineup.

Lol, it’s sunny in Australia. Might be middle of winter where you are?

Yeah, Fultz sucked tonight. I can’t believe he wasn’t good enough to carry the 4 other players on the court with him. He really let us down as our franchise player.

bro people been saying in todays nba you can't have a pg like fultz as your lead guard.....been fighting it for a while hoping to see Washington kelle back....but man....it's disheartening to see players sag so much off of him....i could've swore i saw lebron just turn his back on kelle at the 3pt line in the laker game didn't even want/need to guard him out there....airballing free throws....man i'm not sure about the future for kelle

I’d play the rooks a bit…but we can’t risk taking a step back :banghead:

I don’t care about the losses (or the wins). I care how they’re looking and what we’re learning and what we do about it

You can turn the cat with its tail but it took one game to prove you wrong. +/- from 3 games is as useful as from this last game and Fultz/Suggs is fundamentally bad. You always pick flawed player to defend to the death i guess why.

This game they were I'm pretty sure. Very little time were both off the floor at once.

But they need to play better. It's simple stuff tbh. It's like the Suns depending on Grayson Allen and Jusuf Nurkic to be good enough to make up for Durant and Booker shooting 5-16 and turning it over/missing free throws.

Fell asleep around halftime.

I’m not as worried about Fultz as I am Paolo, WCJ and our overall perimeter shooting.

It’s as if the FO had no idea this team couldn’t shoot. This is some big surprise. Can’t win in the NBA without guys whocan knock down threes.

Paolo will figure it out, but I’m sick of watching Wendell look useless. He doesn’t even appear to be trying hard.

Maybe we’re finding out why we got him and Cole on these “amazing” deals.

We looked like a bunch of scared Betas out there last night. Looked like Men vs. Boys. Since there is zero chance of competing for a championship this season, I say we tank again.

Yeah, Paolo is scaring me. Same with WCJ.
I will say LAC actually played some good defense. But we got looks, someone needs to start hitting.
No FTA for Fultz, Suggs AND Franz...
TOs were horrible, the starters had 13 of the 16.

Ingles signing has looked horrible, put him on the coaching staff if he's a good mentor, hasn't done a thing on the court.
Give his minutes to Jett or Houstan.

I did enjoy the last few minutes of Goga, Houstan, Black, Jett and Okeke.
