Cs are 3-0. Memphis, 0-4. That's a coincidence.

Too lazy to copy schedules, but for the 3 unbeaten teams, Boston, Denver, Dallas, I believe Boston has the best chance to be last undefeated team Standing..

Although only 3 games in, my gut says they are less likely to play down to the competition unlike teams in the past...

Knocking on Wood of course.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Fortunately, Denver and Dallas need to play against each other on Friday so at least one of them is gonna go down if the C's can hold on until then. 8-)

The Cs now more mature, especially with the addition of Jrue and KP, so playing down to the competition will be very few now.

KillahGhostface wrote:Obviously tiny tiny sample size, but KP and Tatum are posting up a TON, KP 21% of the time, and 16% for Tatum. Both have been extremely efficient, especially Zinger.

Within three feet of the rim, KP and Jaylen are shooting 72.7%, Tatum at 86% lol. That’s with having faced two elite defenses so far, and the Heat.

I like what the Pacers are doing as well. They are a very smart team. They just need 1-2 seasons of experience and development.

It would be huge for them if either Mathurin (6th pick in 2022 draft) or Jarace Walker (8th pick in 2023 draft) turns into a star.

Not sure how high the ceiling is if your 2nd best player is Myles Turner.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

This game is going to be a lot tougher than people think. Celtics are going to have to be focused right from the jump. I am expecting a close game and a Celtics win.

It is no small thing that we need at least a sign of bench production and it starts with them
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

Celtics by 40 after 3 tbh. Then the bench scrubs come in and the lead is cut to single digits. Not at all impressed with the Pacers. Maybe a play-in team if they're lucky.

Very encouraging. I feel like even though they won games early last year, it was on the back of insane shooting but otherwise they didn’t play especially well almost anywhere else.

The defense has been pretty damn good again, Holiday/White/Tatum funneling into help from KP is a cheat code. Almost don’t even need a scheme for that.

And I’ve said this before, but the offensive diversity lead by JT has also been much better. Still maybe a little lack of ball movement in the half court but all the guys are buying in it seems and making the right plays more often than not

One thing that I will say about the lack of passing, I think it’s almost a non issue. Because defenses are so dramatically overreacting to any action with Tatum/KP, that it’s not taking much dribbling or ball movement to create a big advantage.

Everything has been pretty damn efficient, not too much overpassing. One of the best stats to show this, so far Tatum is averaging 2.45 dribbles per possession, by far the lowest of him, White, Jaylen, and Holiday. Porzingis is averaging 0.35 dribbles per possession so far, which is half of his number from last season. Obvious small, small sample size caveat, but any time Tatum/KP have run action, defenses go into panic mode, which opens it up for everybody, including the two of them after relocating.

I’d agree with that I think. Last year almost everything would be a Tatum/Brown pull up but we’re getting a great mix and JT has done a great job everywhere on the court and even if it’s one-two passes a possession has lead to pretty good shots on mismatches and all that jazz
