Literally that's how RPOs are run. Everyone plays them as a run play except for the QB and 1 WR

EXCEPT THERE WAS NO ONE RUNNING A ROUTE.

Because Watson missed the cue to run the route

This is pretty simple stuff. A RPO was called and Watson didn't do his part(something he has struggled with quite a bit). I'm not sure what we're debating here

It's literally impossible to know who **** up on that play unless you were in the huddle. Why do you guys do this?

If it's an RPO, which it appears to be, then Watson is supposed to run a route either way.

Yup. OPTION. Watson mucked up
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

You know this how? There's three WRs to the right side.

Watch the all 22 breakdown, that helps most of the time.

Is the offensive coordinator doing the narration?

No, but usually with former NFL QBs and offensive coordinators that break down the play and show you what should happen, often showing missed assignments/routes/blocks....etc. It's very interesting.

But unless they're actually involved, what they're doing is still guessing.

I understand that P.O.V.

However, if it is a player who has ran the same play or scouting against that play they understand where a WR route should go or where the checkdown should be. On top of that, they are usually really good at breaking down missed blocking assignments and stuff that you don't always pick up on during the game.

Say this really does fall off a cliff in the next five games...is there a world in which we see Love benched for Clifford?

I think so. I hated Clifford at PSU, but Love has been even more prone to wtf throws. Just see if he has any sort of spark and if not, at least you have more data about your backup. I think they'll make a case for wanting to have a look at him in game action, at least for a few series a game, even if Love improves a little.

There's no way you bench Love for Clifford this season. It's not Love's fault that all of his weapons have been struggling with injuries, the O-line sucks, and LaFleur is being exposed as a terrible play caller. You ride with him, this season and next. See what you have and then move on if you have to. Too many variables this season to make an educated decision. For every inaccurate pass from Love there are 2-3 passes dropped by the WR. The only thing I can't stand watching are his deep balls, he floats them allowing the defense to recover in time and make a play.

I'd like to see Gutekunst, LaFleur, and Barry all fired after the season. Gutekunst can't draft worth a ****, he's been absolutely terrible. LaFleur was clearly being carried by Rodgers and the fact that he hasn't moved on from Barry after the last 2-3 seasons tells me he's actually as incompetent as he looks right now.

I'm totally cool "to give him another year" if we think MHj is our guy at, say, pick 3. We go into the year rebuilding and pick a QB in 2025.

Long way away but Cade Klubnik and Drew Allar are the only 2 QB's I see with first round grades for 2025. So far.
