Why do you say this?

Because I have a new account?

I rep the Hornets on the general board when everyone else is afraid to admit they are a Hornets fan.

Not to be a dick, but no one on here **** cares how big of a Miller fan you are or how much you post on the GB, no need to claim #1 fan status or brag about how much you post on other boards.

I'm just saying, we're not in 3rd grade bragging about who is the biggest fan.

I'm just calling it like I see it my man. You joined 2 weeks before the draft and the only thing you talked about since then has been Miller. I just looked at your last 100 or so posts, using the search user post function. I'd say 80% of your posts are about Miller directly, bashing Scoot, or bashing Clifford for not starting Miller.

+1 credit for at least mentioning Gerald Wallace's nickname is crash in a random non hornets board thread.

I wanted Scoot at first I'll admitt it. Even when the second pick came and I was ok with Miller because he was the pick, I was like maybe the experts are wrong and we draft Scoot. I am happily eating all my crow. There is alot of it so I put some seasoning on it. But honestly I'm one if those guys who if you prove me wrong from my first impressions, well I'm a big fan. Brandon Miller is looking like in 2 years he's the franchise guy not ball even though I'm a big Ball fan. Lol

Hang around. We are all fans and we should feel welcome. This is the hornets board. At the end of the day we aren't playing the game. They are and we are their fans. This is our lunch table! Maybe Ben had a bad day who knows?

lol, i'm not saying you should go. stick around. its all good. honestly, you keep hanging on gb, you're probably gonna get banned from there, with all the trolling. just my friendly advice.
i just don't quite understand your famdom. we've had plenty of posters thru the years who were fans of a player first, hornets second... all the uconn/kemba fans, the lin fans, we even had a kaminsky stan.

if youre a life long hornets fan why are you so seemingly focused on miller? legit question? if we would have drafted scoot, not miller, would you be nonstop bashing scoot praising miller? i dunno
are you from charlotte? why hornets?

You need to have a lot of good players and at least two excellent players to win in this league. If we're having a conversation about who's the better player between Miller and LaMelo in a few years that's a good problem to have. I just hope ownership is serious about quickly building around them. We've lost enough, it's time to build a team that can consistently win.

The Athletic did a preseason NBA fan survey and 4% of their 6,380 respondents were "I root for players not teams", I thought it was interesting at the time (this was the 11th biggest selection) and immediately thought of the various individual player fandoms that have visited the board through the years. I think the blinders those posters have for their favorites understandably rub regulars the wrong way. Whatever happened to the Bouknight supporter?

Nothing can ever top the Lin fans

Odd that we don't have any Melo stans on the board. I guess they aren't the message board types too cool for boomer boards.

I'm focused on Miller because that's who I wanted us to draft. I'm gonna talk about him because I truly feel he's going to be out franchise player sooner than later.

I talk about other players but so far the only bright spot on the team has been Miller and Williams.

I'm from NC bro I always been a Hornets fan. I grew up watching the Mashburn/Bdiddy era Hornets. Even when we became the Bobcats I still was a fan and we know that era was painful.

As for my account I joined when reddit had that blackout. I stuck around because this place seemed more laid back than reddit.

I pretty much created my account to advocate for Miller over Scoot (and to stan for GG Jackson) since the overwhelming perception was that Hornets fans hated the pick and I just couldn't understand the hate. Been a Hornets fans since the Bobcats

I was of the opinion that Miller was simply the better prospect to Scoot. That along with him being a better fit with our young corp. That was a large reason for my conviction. I mainly contested those who said Scoot was better and only considered Miller because of fit and fit alone.

That along with I had concerns with Scoot shooting, size, and so-called elite athleticism.

Scoot shooting 33% from field, 5.6% from three (1/18) and he has 5 FTA in 4 games. Portland fans already are questioning how Simons and Scoot work long-term and think Simons getting hurt was better for Scoot development.

All things I am glad we are not stressing about with LaMelo/Scoot right now.

Miller has played 33 mins+ in 4/6 games to start the year for the people who doubted if Cliff would play him.
He had his worst offensive game of the year, off his first back to back makes some sense.
He could have had some tired legs and that may be part of the reason he struggled shooting.

I do like that he seems to have some offensive utility as a guy that can create in the midrange so early, he isn't just attacking closeouts and shooting 3s. Cliff is running some offensive sets for him, would like to see that scale up a bit.

Last night we ran way too much offense for Hayward, he ran out of gas.

Feels like he struggles to find a rhythm when playing with Hayward. Sure he shot the ball 12 times, but those opportunities came sporadically.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?
