Let Ben be the backup PG since he insists. Sixers could use another ballhandler.

Butler is 34 and owed $146m over 3 years. No thanks. Would love to have him but won't break the bank for him.

The 2024/2026 stuff is marginal. We'll still be good then if we have Maxey/Butler/Embiid.
The 2028 LAC 1st we didn't have 3 days ago.
The only real assets we'd be giving up are the 2029 1st and 2030 swap. We'd still be making 1st round selections in '24, '26, '28, and '30 with tons of 2nds along the way, which can also be turned into a 1st if needed.

Because we didn't have it 3 days ago it isn't a real asset? That makes no sense.

I would also pass at that price point for Butler.

This is expirings/three 1sts/three 1st swaps.
Out of curiosity, what would you offer?

Probably, might just take a meh 1st to nab him so he’d be a reasonable upgrade at a reasonable price. He can create a decent shot, spots up really well, and can role play on both sides of the ball. Would definitely suck if he wasn’t healthy in the PO, why we shouldn’t pay more than that to get him.
(Also your sig makes me think of another Dylan line from Blonde on blonde, ‘you gotta be honest to live outside the law.’)

Cut a first and change their origin, remove all swaps and replace with 2nds and a Lowry exchange.
Harris, Korkmaz, Morris, Batum, 26 PHI 1st, 28 PHI 1st, and four 2nds of Miami's choosing for Butler and Lowry.
I would also expect Miami to decline.

I would hope Brogdon makes some noise behind the scenes asking to be traded to us. We're the logical contending spot for him after everything that's happened the last few months.
If he makes it known he wants to come here, maybe we get a good price. Like expirings (Morris + Kork or House) and a couple 2nds ideally.
