Some people would rather have a starting 5 of all Darrell Armstrong's than a winning team.

The team can afford to have 1 in the starting 5. Still leaves you 4 other players who can be the star you’re searching for.
Suggs problem is simple. He is terrible ballhandler to be PG ( with horrific decision making under pressure ) but way below average shooter to be starting SG.
Cavs have same problem with Okoro. High investment, not point guard, not shooting guard, undersized to play anything else. They play him at SF now.
Okoro did show some signs of life as shooter this year, but i highly doubt it will be sustainable, much like Suggs.
Those "dive for every ball" type of players are tricky to evaluate. People were 100% sure Smart is "winning player" for past decade. I don't know how many debates i had about him. To me , he was just guy who had incredible luxury to be tagged with much better players every year.
Boston is probably best team in basketball in this moment, and Memphis with "winning player" is 0-5. Jrue isn't as good defender as Smart is, but is way better playmaker & less prone for hero-ball that Smart was always known for. ( Smart's 5 opening games from last year included 1-9 for 3 game and 2-9 for 3 game). Jrue simply won't do such dumb stuff.
Self proclaimed Celtics "leader" wasn't that hard to replace after all.
And i think we do have similar problem with Suggs. He thinks he is leader and he simply thinks he is better than he is. And yes, he is everywhere on a floor and goes after everything, but he also will go for glory and take shots he has no business taking, like that diving layup on set Lakers defense with 20 sec on a clock where ball didn't even touch rim.
We have whole season to evaluate what's going on, but i think people give Banchero way too much crap for things he can't control. He can't beat 3 men off a dribble and score if opposing team defends nobody pass 12 feet but him and Franz. It's dummyball.
