- We will have $65M of cap space in the offseason
- We can trade 3 first round picks, 3 first round pick swaps and 6 second round picks
- unless stars asks to be traded, they need to be traded for the entire treasure chest. So no Ingram, Jimmy or Markanen
- Pascal Siakam is the biggest UFA in the offseason
- OG anunoby has a $18M contract
- Lavine has a $50M contract

My Bold Prediction of what’s LIKELY gonna happen.

We’re not gonna trade for Lavine this season. Because it will make that cap space useless and we need to give up depth to acquire him.

The most likely thing that’s gonna happen is we’re gonna trade for OG Anunoby before the trade deadline for Marcus Morris’ 17M expiring and most likely 4-5 first round picks/pick swaps.

OG and Nurse are familiar with one another so OG would be a seamless injection to the team. We can wait till the deadline to trade for him. The asking price in last season’s deadline was 4 first round picks. We have more than enough, but it doesnt necessarily mean we’re gonna use all of them because we need a back-up plan in the FA.

2023-2024

Maxey/Pat Beverly
Melton/Oubre
OG Anunoby/Roco
Tobias/Batum
Embiid/Reed

After doing that trade we’ll have Tobias and Paul Reed as place holder for Pascal Siakam, who we MIGHT sign in the offseason with our 45M-ish cap space.

And once we sign Siakam in the offseason.

Tyrese Maxey
Jaden Springer
OG Anunoby
Pascal Siakam
Joel Embiid

If Siakam wont agree to sign with us, I’m guessing we will call the Bulls and absorb Lavine’s contract and add some sweeteners (Springer? Picks? Pick swaps?).

Tyrese Maxey
Zach Lavine
OG Anunoby
Paul Reed
Joel Embiid

I just dont know if Nurse would approve the Maxey-Lavine frontcourt on defense.

There’s also a scenario where we send smoke all over the league that we’re gonna sign Siakam (who else? Klay Thompson?) and use it as leverage, call Massai and tell him to hand us over Siakam and OG with a king’s ransom this offseason while trading players from Clips trade and/or Tobi. Im guessing Massai will ask Tobi because he seems to prefer to acquire guys who can contribute with the rumored Hawks offer for Tobi and the Poetl trade.

Maxey/Beverly
Melton/DHJ/Springer
OG Anunoby/Batum
Pascal Siakam/Roco (we give them Korkmaz instead)
Joel Embiid/Reed

If Kyle Neubeck says that Markannen is a possiblity I'm guessing he did his research, and considered it was possible. To get Lauri we would have to trade for him.
TBF, it's a great idea, but Neubeck said there were no rumors about it, but just an idea he came up and would like to see.

The Miami Heat are now 1-4 after a home loss to the Brooklyn Nets. They boast the league's 6th-worst point differential at -7.0.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Will they play Boston or Milwaukee in the ECF? I say Boston.

I'm sure he'll be in the mix at some point. I think minutes go to Covington early on anyway.
With that said, I think KJ Martin is ultimately the best player we get from this specific trade. I think Nurse needs to put him out there and let him play. He could become a huge difference-maker for us down the line. Martin is the type of player that you can put on a Jayson Tatum or Giannis if needed. He's athletic enough to stay with them and give them a hard time. He's by far my favorite player that we've acquired. He's a better version of Thybulle and Jaden McDaniels. Batum and Covington are going to be in and out of lineups all season long.

If true, she'll get over it. She knew what she was signing up for when she married an NBA player. She'll only likely have to put up with us for one season.

I think the complicating factor is that Batum is almost done for his career, might he consider retirement?

When, now or at the end of the season? Either way, she only likely has to put up with us until February or June at the very latest.

I think the idea is that, if he has to move from LA, he'd rather retire, especially if his wife isn't happy.

We can also trade Tobias Harris if the team wants to compete. Young players like Springer and Reed.

So you think Morey will end up buying out the rest of his contract?

No idea, but like I said, this sort of **** doesn't happen to any other franchise lol. I am probably reading into it too much though.

Is Martin that good? I thought he was just a piece to complete the trade, never followed his game.

Been reading Clipps forum. Seems like they like Batum a lot. More than Roco.
