Without a Giannis/Dame injury no way this team wins less then 42 games. That is indeed the scary part, AG's job is basically safe no matter how dumb he is.

Fastest NBA coach to get fired....Mike Brown 5 games into the season. Today is the last day to set a record.
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

Honestly, I have no sympathy when I hear Giannis saying stuff like it’s tough to accept the process. You handpicked this guy. You insisted on him. He’s your guy. You dug your grave.
Giannis can end this real quick by saying something to Horst. Problem is I think he’s too proud to say, “you know, I was wrong. Coach Griff isn’t the guy.”

What’s worse? Allowing Giannis to help pick the coach, or allowing him to can him at any time? Let’s hope we aren’t THAT stupid moving forward.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
Giannis is locked up so I don't care that much what he thinks now, the guy was still loyal to Jason Kidd so I feel like he'll probably not speak up against the coach and would fall in line with whoever. We need a guy who can actually coach and get the most out of Giannis, some vibes ex-player coach who lets the players do their own thing is obviously not the answer.

Was gonna say this but Brown also coached the entire previous season. But sure, Prunty as interim for 5-10 games until you can pry Atkinson away from GS. Hell, I'd even throw them the 2024 Portland 2nd rounder if that's what it takes to get him here asap.

I think I’d probably try to see if Bud would come save us and if he says no, shift to Atkinson if for no other reason than familiarity and the ability to get things up to speed quickly.
But I can’t imagine Bud would appease the front office.

I would guess bringing in the Spanish coach would at the very least get us to run the Spain pick and roll more which should be an awesome play for us.

Giannis extension takes an immense amount of pressure off.
If AG can’t hack it finding a coach who can set up schemes to take advantage of our stars shouldn’t be so hard.
Stotts quitting rather than waiting to take over anticipating a flame out has me concerned there might be a toxicity even aside from ego-induced rigidity.

Money talks and he hasn't moved out of Milwaukee yet. I would think he is too proud to accept, though-- and Edens to proud to offer him the job back.
Atkinson would be a godsend at this point.

Zero chance Bud comes back. He's getting paid still and gets a nice long vacation, all the while his resume continues to look better and better with each game the Bucks look inept.
When he's ready to coach again he'll be the top guy out there and have his pick of the litter, with a management team he can trust (unlike here).

Bud sold his Waukesha County lake home already, does he have a second one he still owns?

Griffin is more worried about job security and power as a first time coach than actually coaching.

Anyone calling for Bud to return is delusional. Bud is not the answer.

Dude. Just becoming even remotely decent at free throws would make the world of a difference. The coaching stuff is brutal, but watching Giannis continue to suck at FTs while jacking up horrible shots is getting so old.

Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

I mean, sure he is (he's not the only answer but he'd be one of them). No doubt in my mind that with Bud's defensive system plus Dame this team has dynasty potential. But it's not realistic at this point, so it's irrelevant.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
I admittedly didn’t get to watch the two losses (and have no intention to because I don’t hate myself that much), but I’m not gonna freak out about early season performance. We know the roster is good enough to be a title contender. I’m not freaking out that Griffin is trying things that aren’t working. If we still look bad 20-30 games in then I will start to be really concerned but this team is good enough that we can probably be a little patient.
We already heard Lillard literally say that they stopped running plays that they knew were working because they basically wanted to keep it in the bag as long as they could, so it sounds to me like the team is in experimentation mode early on, which makes sense to me.
