You are knees deep in pile of s*** if you expect this player to space floor for you

He is career, 2 thees taken, 31,9% shooter. Expecting him to be new Towns is silly. His career high was still below league's average.

ignoring the trend in your own picture and reverting simply to "career average" is very drab.
I'll agree with your premise though, our center shouldn't be our 3pt shooting savior.

He needs to be respectable from deep, not KAT. I’d take 35% from deep from a big that brings defense as WCJ does. You can’t win with him making 20%. The expectation is for WCJ to develop that shot (as he has shown to be able to do) and if he can’t, his value diminishes as I already stated.

I think the issue is that we’re 4 games in and people are already in panic mode. If this carries on then yes, it’s a problem.

32,7% was in season where league average was 35,4%
35,6% was in season where league's average was 36,1%

That's whole problem , leagues' average is made out of some of the worst shooters out there- shooting. That percentage includes all 3 point shots, half court, full court, under pressure, late shot clock, wide open etc.
You can't be considered "floor spacing" player you can't even be mediocre shooter. If league's average is 36% ( just for argument sake) you aren't really "good " shooter if you are below some 38% mark.

Just to showcase this:

around 400 nba players played ( 30 teams, 9 men lineup = 270 serious rotation players).

Do you know how many of them:
played at least 11 games
shot at least 1 three point attemp a game
and shot over 35% ?

208. If you consider 300 players ( 10 per team) rotation players, it means only 92 out of 300 didn't meet that criteria.
Do you know how many players shot above 38% ? 149 players. Basically half of serious league shoots over 38% . Yet league's average is 35% . Because 35% ( averge) is also made out of guys like Giannis who took 171 threes ( and shot 27% off it).

WCJ started slow last couple seasons. I'll wait a bit before calling for his head. I do wish he had better hands though. He's powerful guy he just fumbles the ball a lot and its annoying.

He has been awful. he is 4-10 finishing in the paint not counting lob dunk finishes and is not only refusing to take wide-open 3s lately but is also starting to not even take open mid-range shots.

Not enough people are talking about this imo.

I’ve seen more lobs to WCJ in the last 4 games than I have the entire time he’s been in Orlando. And it’s been a different passer every time: Cole, Fultz, Paolo, Franz, Suggs - I’m pretty sure all of them have found him for the lob at least once each.

Franz is also not shooting great, 38% from the field and 33% from 3.

I think the long, far road trip is slowing our guys down, I think we start to see better play from Paolo. Franz, Dell once we get back home and get to play a few non-contending eastern conference teams.

I think the issue is fultz and Suggs shouldn’t play together . If you have Suggs starting than cole Anthony should start . If they go With fultz starting than Gary Harris should be playing. The spacing would be much better

It'd be nice to get a win and get to 3-2 heading home for a revenge game vs the Lakers, where we should come out aggressive against them.

i could normally agree, if these weren't the first games of the season. this isnt a trip in the middle of the season, and we are still one of the youngest teams.

Tonight will be a tough game. It's obvious from the scoring output by the Jazz last night that they were super fresh going into last night's game. We were playing with no legs in our last few games.

So, Orlando follows up its best-ever home opener with a 2-2 western road trip to be 3-2. How can we fans not be thrilled with the Magic's current record and standings?

The coming 4 game home stand will be telling. Hopefully a 2-2 record follows. There are some tough games coming.

21st ranked offense, 3rd ranked defense. .600 win rate. 8th toughest schedule. Life is good.

If Markelle and Wendell are out, I'd like to see Black and Goga start so they don't disrupt the second unit.

Coach Mosley deserves a lot of credit for this defense. I think he's a top candidate for Coach of the Year. Calling it early.

Yeah. I've been ignoring most posts because it is exhausting. A bad start to the season for Paolo, trade him, one good game now keep him but get rid of Fultz because he is the reason we lose against teams we are supposed to lose against and without him we barely beat a Jazz team we were supposed to dominate, come on guys. It is like, give these players a good sample of games, I am not making any big decisions at least until 15 games in.

As of now, we are exactly where we should be, we have won the games we should and lost the ones we should as well. There is just no patience here and too much overreaction and mood swings.
