Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
The wild part to me, about Griffin, is that there is almost nothing positive being shown for another team giving him a second chance. Like, with some guys, it seems like it's a situational fit and you can see how they'd work with a different team. Griffin is offering no proof through 4 games that any team should take a chance on him for any head coach opening.
Let's see what the team looks like through 15 games, but... at a certain point you have to cut bait to hope to salvage what is left of this season before it's too far gone.

I wasn't advocating we trade Lopez for Griffins sake. I just think he'll get exposed vs Boston, Philly, Denver, LA and he is old but he has an ok contract and is coming off 2nd in DPOY voting. There is definitely a market for him on a fringe team trying to make a push.

Those are literally the only teams you actually want him for in the playoffs lol

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
The only thing I can think is he's trying to get the team to self evaluate and let him know what they themselves can't do. Instead of Brook saying how high when coach says jump, he instead says "I'm 56 years old and 8'9" I can't jump." This is the ideal way to get buy-in but I don't know if this is what he's doing or if it would work with NBA egos.jschligs wrote:That’s the most concerning part. The answers are BLATANTLY obvious with what to do on both ends of the court but he hasn’t done any of them. It’s like knowing the answers to the test and intentionally choosing the wrong ones.
I’m usually pretty optimistic with the Bucks but I’m surprised with how quickly I’ve soured on AG. This isn’t like the 2010 Heat, this is just utter garbage and the players don’t seem excited about it. I give him 10 games to show me something.

Do you know anything about him?
I read he last got fired from a European team b4 the 1st for saying the roster isn't as good as last year. So much for freedom of speech and honesty. Lol

Debatable. Boston with Zingis and playoff Horford is unplayable Lopez. Any team that has 5 guys with range will expose his weaknesses. Philly doesn't have Tucker to hide him on anymore. Denver you can try him on Gordon but none of these situations are ideal. He needs to play against at least 1 big that can't shoot.
The Porzingis pickup really hurt our chances against Boston who is our main threat to get to the Finals. We can pray Horford declines but every year he shows up. Zinger Horford Tatum Brown and Holiday or White is a really bad matchup for Lopez Giannis Middleton whoever Dame.

37-year old Al Horford isn't rendering Brook Lopez "unplayable". This whole "our slow 5 can't play against stretch-bigs" works both ways here. You think Porzingis, Embiid, and Jokic are gonna wanna run out to the perimeter to contest Brook pick & pop 3's? Those guys aren't Bam and Draymond.

25 minutes of Dre would reverse this team's trajectory.

They don't have to, they can guard Giannis and sit at the FT line or further back.

I don't get to see many of the games, but if our guys aren't hitting shots and playing low energy, AJJ seems like the perfect move to try and shake things up.
I'd also consider having Brook come off the bench (or spend less time with the starters) and make him more of a focal point on offense. Just seems like he has been criminally underused especially if he isn't going to have the defensive impact in our new scheme.

He was the architect of "the wall" the Raps used to stop the Bucks. Worked wonders for late career Marc Gasol....and he adjusts scheme to his players.
Love that he runs tons of Spain pick and roll action and flare options.

I actually like this idea....give Brook and Bobby tons of second unit minutes to just out-big some benches.

I feel like between Brook and Giannis we have what should be two of the very best PnR finishers on the planet, while having one of the best PnR ball handlers in Dame (based on what I read around here). This really shouldn't be that hard to figure out after Giannis relinquishes some more control of this offense.

The defensive struggles make a ton of sense.....and I get it. But the offensive struggles are baffling.
Offense should be simple when you have Damian Lillard. Simple screens WAY up high, horns actions, flares......I don't get it.

I think the more Giannis gives up the ball while Dame is on the court, the easier it will get. He can still have tons of possessions while Dame sits, but it might take some time for him to get there.

We should be staggering, but not Giannis and Dame. We should be staggering the Giannis-Dame pairing with the Khris-Brook pairing. We should be staggering AJJ and MarJon. One of those two pairings and one of those two guys should always be on the floor.
Dame-AJJ-Khris-Giannis-Brook 4 minutes
Dame-AJJ-Jae-Bobby-Giannis 4 minutes
Cam-MarJon-Khris-Bobby-Brook 4 minutes
There's your first quarter. Adjust from there.

Not if Giannis were setting a screen for Dame, but unfortunately for us the league banned that play. Or at least I assume they did because that’s the only logical reason the wouldn’t be running it, right?
