One key problem with our offense is the combination of a) Mitch has no offensive game and b) randle can't make a quick lob pass.
If with either problem solved, we would increase our offense 10ppg.

Randle to KAT is an upgrade, but I would argue that it makes us worse long term.
a) would Embiid want to play with KAT or would we be trading KAT for Embiid?
b) would we exhaust too many assets to then also move for an upgrade at wing?
c) what would that do to our financial flexibility going forward?
Robinson is great and all, but if we can't figure out how to make him at least Capella on offense, we are losing with him.

I would argue thats its not an upgrade... or if it is, its very marginal considering the horrible defense and softness. If we want shooting we might as well make a trade for Bogdonvic from Detroit. No need to give up 60 million in assets.

We don't really need an upgrade in shooting from Randle. What I see and do not like is Randle beats his man and meets Mitch's defender and then Randle isn't able to pass it off effectively and obviously can't score over the bigger defender. Swapping Towns for Randle does nothing for this.

We need an upgrade in shooting (25% from 3), decision making, and attitude.
He didn't force the offense because he lost all confidence in his shot.nykballa2k4 wrote:RHODEY wrote:nykballa2k4 wrote:

LAst night I didn't see Randle force the offense, I didn't see him command the ball to take bad shots.
He played within the system last night. He played defense, got defensive boards, made hustle plays. Not mad at him.
We have too many of the same dude on the team right now and swapping Randle for KAT does nothing for that.

But atleast he would be able to stretch the floor. Our shooting is embarrassing

BTW I do not want to swap Randle for Towns. I also agree we have too many similar players.

Randle isn't the problem. Right now we have Hart who is afraid to shoot and Mitch who can't shoot. Julius makes open 3s well enough though he is doing poorly so far this season (Towns has been at that same level). RJ seems to be hitting so that's a godsend. Having him and Grimes being weapons when left open will be great.

Come playoff time. Do you really expect Randle to make open 3’s?
