I was going to give it 15 to 20 games anyway… That should be adequate time to see what we have with all these new guys and coaches. But now we’re going to be faced with that “ not at full strength “ caveat. Haven’t really been impressed with any of these rollers, but someone’s bound to step up. If not, it might be a long year and if we’re bad… And I don’t mean stinking bad, but mediocre like we’re showing… Well, we’re pretty much screwed for the next three years +.

I can’t get rid of the Paper Tiger feeling, though. There’s no edge to this team.

I didn't even know this was on, but then checked the forum and saw it was on at 5:30 Phoenix time apparently....or apparently not. Well, doesn't look like I missed much.

At least we own our draft pick this year.

Don't panic, guys. we will be awesome when everyone is healthy.

Too bad all of the main guys missed 20+ games through last 3 seasons.

I'm sorry but Vogel is not a good coach.

Move on from him now.

Luckily both WAS and MEM suck even more than us right now, so no pick swap too.

Did we trade first round swaps in 24 and 26 in the Beal trade?

Only coach we have who won a title in 20. Give him more time to adjust and figure out how to put our team in best situation to win.

Which should hopefully amount to nothing since Wizards will be terrible and Suns will still end up with their own draft pick.

Also didn't watch the game since it was early, but woke up and saw that Book was out and didn't feel like watching. Doesn't look like I missed much.

Yeah, if we are bad it would probably be a good pick regardless. I think we can move up from 12th place in the West though. We should be able to beat the Spurs next time. The Clips beat them by 40.

I think it says a lot when your C rotation are the Suns leading assists men

Yeah, with Book not playing it barely feels like you are watching the Suns now.

Exactly. I woke up and didn't want to watch mercenaries and KD chuck up shots in a Suns uniform. I did tune into the game while in bed on the NBA app, kept drifting in and out of sleep. Saw that we were down 5 entering the 4th, and then saw again that we were down 15 so then I turned it off at that point.

I said before the season started that I would give this team about 20-25 games before passing judgment and that if we were around .500 at that time then we have some real issues. We're about 20-25% of the way through and we haven't looked good outside of a couple of games and a few in game spurts. We're clearly lacking a system when the system is built around all 3 guys being healthy and that's all fine and dandy when the 3 guys are playing but when they're not, it's been a problem. We're expecting guys like EG to step up when he's more of a high level bench scorer at this point in his career, or Nurk when he's never been a scorer, or Grayson when he's primarily a spot up shooter and then a bunch of dudes off the bench who are complementary players but not scorers themselves.

There's no doubt it's been a very rough stretch and the doomsdayers certainly have cause for their concern but I still believe in this team's ability to get through this and I will stick to my 20-25 game probation period.

Booker and Beal coming back will lead to some more wins with the boost they give to the offense but they aint saving this sorry ass defense.

Not really worried since I know the Suns will be good at full health. It is more about how mundane and boring the season is going to be with this very precautionary approach around our big 3. I imagine it's a similar feeling a majority of Clippers fans feel going into every season with Kawhi and PG, knowing they are likely a top team when healthy.
The vibe is just off, and it brings no joy of the regular season IMO since it appears we only care about basketball in April to June.

I even feel like the mystery behind our injuries is not only for other teams to approach a gameplan differently, but it is also to try and get fans to stay committed to going to games because you don't know if the star players are going to be there, and since there is a glimmer of hope, you still go to the game. It's only early November though, so perhaps this is just a small speed bump, and KD, Book, Beal all end up playing 65+ games each. That would be great.
