He’s a luxury to have when he explodes offensively like a superstar does and he’s valuable when the offense is struggling and you need a basket but games when it’s not his night, his shooting can’t affect everything about his game. He had some nice passes to Porzingis but there was a lot of bad that third quarter. Still hasn’t learned to drive and kick when 2 defenders are waiting for him or gets stubborn chucking when he’s not able to score.

White, Jrue, Tatum, Horford, and Porzingis all play a lot smarter even if some of them aren’t as talented as JB. And it does seem so far JB hasn’t really improved in any areas of his game like we are seeing from JT.

Nailed it. Brown seems to still be riding the high of being the highest-paid player. Somebody please bring him down.

Brown shot like poo and made some terrible decisions in that second half. Joe just let him keep shooting but he. needs to learn when it isn't his night... wide-open misses okay but sometimes he just came up and fired. turrible. i didn't like his body language in the second half.

only bench guy to make a real difference was korny though hause wasn't bad. Korny did his job but I'm not on the train yet. he was tall so he used it, that's all we needed. the bench has had one really good regular season game out of the 5 and it was when we were already up 35. still want a little mix and matching when things aren't going well. i dont get why lamar never touches the floor unless there are under 5m and we're up big.

I went Tatum and Al but definitely nice to see a good game from Kornet, I've thought he played well in the past but hadn't really been impressed in preseason this year. Big Al was Ol' Reliable.

Celts only had 11 turnovers but the Nets only had 5!

Nets played some great basketball.

JB isn't changing. Plays with more great players and still forces bad shots for no reason far too often.

Pritchard had a rough game but i still see that his floor hame has improved. If he fully embraces his pg role i think he will eventually find his level.

If you add up Jaylen’s ECF last year, and Tatum’s finals, it’s barely higher than White’s TS so far.

JT's is more impressive. 30% usage while being gameplanned against every second he's on the floor by opposing defenses. Feels like he's got the whole scoring package now. Plus the added strength.

The biggest difference I’ve noticed so far is that he’s really mastered where he wants to get on the floor. Also, just attacking if it’s available, and moving the ball if it’s not. That last part seems simple, but it’s usually one of the last steps for superstars.

This is starting to feel like the 2008 season.

Although there are still some bad plays from the Jays, overall the Celts are playing great and are more consistent compared to last season.

Shot selection has been a lot better. Posting up more in the post.

I didn’t like how all last season every play Tatum was creating from the top of the key dribbling a bunch before he made a move.

There’s a lot more variety to his game which is making it really tough to guard

Those airball 3s by the Nets late in the 4th were contested by KP.

KP could be a DPOY candidate this year.

Tatum is so good it's crazy that he's only 25. He'll be cheated out of #2 to Jokic's mvp. I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS, HE'S BETTER THAN LUKA!!

Edit: He is better than Embiid too fwiw. I believe this because I think tatum could take the same teams further than embiid could. idc idc idc. :)

Read on Twitter

He doesn't mean it, but sounds like subtle jab at his bagless former teammate.

First in the Brad era, though we had that 16-2 start in 2017-18.

I really can’t believe we have all these guys on our team. The White absence was felt but everyone stepped up.

It’s so nice to see the variety in which we can score now. Last year if our 3’s didn’t fall the game was over

Spot on.

Reason for that is the Cs didn't have KP and Jrue last season.

There's just a number of things that KP can do that Al and Rob couldn't do.

And unlike Smart, Jrue won't settle for 3s when the going gets bad.

Easier to survive poor shooting performance from one or two of your guys when you have 5 guys capable of putting up 20+ any given night. But we can still play better on offense. Poor decision making/bad shot selection will still short circuit the offense and if other team gets hot, you can find yourself in a hole.

I still say the Cs are ahead of schedule.

The Jays still commits those poor decision making/bad shot selection that you are talking about.

I believe the Cs are good enough to win Banner 18 now, but their biggest chance of winning Banner 18 in 2024-25.

JT gets the VC. He is playing relaxed this season. Game is getting slower for him. Playing with guys like Jrue, Zinger and White gives a calming effect. Last year we had tons of games losing to sub par teams. Posters were saying we are playing down to opponents, when in reality, they just play harder, and if things get close, we get pressured, and start chucking 3’s non stop.
