A couple games in and something with the Bucks doesn't look quite right. The general consensus was that their offense would get better while their defense would get worse. Well, the latter is certainly true but on offense, Dame and Giannis don't seem to synergize very well. Dame is still bothered by hard traps so he ends up killing enough clock for defenses to set up the wall against Giannis. It doesn't look as easy as many might have you believe.

I’m so curious to watch a bucks game to see what’s going wrong, never felt lillard was bad against traps or aggressive Coverages in general after the bubble although I haven’t watched much of him

They haven't run a ton of Giannis & Dame actions together but Giannis getting it in the short role is an experiment so far, dude's instincts just ain't clicking right there and Dame needs to be more aggressive.

Aj Griffin truly looks like a rookie coach, his ideas haven't panned out at all so far. You go from one of the best regular season coaches in Bud to this guy and the difference is enormous. He's using schemes that don't fit the personnel which the players had to lobby against, etc... hopefully he's a quick study.

It's early but it looks like Oubre may have finally turned a corner to become a positive player

This Suns team may never leave the ground at this rate.

I'm not cheering for them to win it all, but it always sucks to watch teams that could've been good never get a crack at it.

Philly looking really good without Harden. Maxey and Tobias in particular.

Yeah Maxey took a step I didn't think he would take [oops!].

Edwards completed a bounce pass to Gobert where the pass bounced up high and had an alley-oop to Gobert. It took a full calendar year but he finally figured out how to utilize Gobert.

Now that he had a few good scoring games I'm higher on Banchero than after rookie season, it looks like he cares on defense and is good passer in addition to the scoring potential.

Are we sure that Phily won't finish with the second seed this year?

Well, I'd say that door is wide open. Not the start of the year the Bucks were hoping for, and I think they should be very concerned.

How good has Aaron Gordon been to start the season? Where would you guys say he ranks? I haven’t really thought about it, but obviously a high level championship caliber role player.

If Milwaukee can't turn it around maybe I can see it? I think I had them as my #4 going into the season (BOS/MIL/CLE above).

I don't typically make a ranked list for players beyond the MVP candidates, but I think he's someone who should get consideration for all-star. Now, I doubt that the Nuggets get 4 all-stars, and if Murray & Porter are playing up to their best they'll get the 2nd & 3rd slots, but is it possible for Denver to get the top seed with Gordon as more valuable than either Murray or Porter? Yes, already happened last year. That's no small thing.

Agreed. Maxey is blowing the doors off defenses right now, and they have a terror in Embiid still. They have a tier one coach as well, I’d say the finish third at the very least.

Bucks…seem a bit discombobulated, but they have the rest of the season to figure it out. I would be worried about their coach though. Spo can get a roster of Frankenstein monsters to execute at a very high level and compete, it wouldn’t go well if Cream city gets creamed by the Heat yet again. Obviously other great coaches in the conference too.

Milwaukee is the type of team that starts 9-9 and then goes on a tear.

Losing Nick Nurse to a dysfunctional philly team is looking pretty bad. Maybe they can talent their way to a championship anyway, but not seeing Giannis used properly in his prime would be sad.

This is what happens when you let your rival get the best coach in the league and hire a rookie instead.

There's a legitimate possibility Wemby breaks basketball and is the most impactful player in the league by the end of the season.

too small to take so seriously but..Spurs have jumped by 7-points of srs despite Wemby's best teammate getting injured.

Not saying it's going to happen, but if Wemby somehow wins 50 or something and looks the part, let's --not-- do the thing we did with the last guy and artifically curve down how good we think he was based on age.

I would be stunned if he was a top 8 player by the end of the season.
