Damn, this one hurts. Just make one of those missed bunnies, or secure the late defensive board and we win.
Credit to the Raptors for taking care of the ball and for knocking down shots in the second half. OG looked like Steph out there.

OT: SPURS 116 RAPTORS 123
Hard to talk about the 4TH Q and OT as I missed most of it, but another 120+ point game given up. It was really the 3s - 19-48(!) and FTs - 14-24 against that did us in.
We started hot and thought we could absorb another team being down and make a run and we flat out settled.
It was one of the worst Sochan games in terms of TOs - only 3 registered, I thought it was around 5, but he and Tre (uncharacterstically) tied for team high with 3TOs each.
The bloody missed bunnies are always a harbinger. ALWAYS. Sochan had them a-plenty, and it seemed to steep into team mates. Sochan played too small for his size, too telegraph deliberate plays and passes, too tentative. Some right reads in terms of when to drive, but all was mostly for naught given the poor finishes.
You could feel the momentum shift after the 3RD Q when we gave up the 36 points and it continued against us.
We started sloppy and finished sloppy, taking our foot off the gas and did not adjust to increased pressure, settling for soft Js, egalitarian style.
We really missed Devin today. Sochan's shot could have gone there instead. Branham had a great scoring game. Really all the starters except for Sochan and all the bench players except for Tre shot it well.
What really did us in was mentality. Wemby frankly looked a bit tired, Zach and Sochan played smaller than their size, and we had a lot of guys out of place, nowhere most apparent than when Wemby got the D board on their final regulation shot miss and hit Cedi with it which resulted in us losing the ball and giving up a game-tying 3.
We won the PITP, the points off TOs, but hustle and focus waned as the game progressed, especially on O boards, where we were down 13-9. As gump keeps saying, BALL SECURITY!
It's a wonder this game ended up being close seeing as how we were -27 from 3 and -6 from FTs but you could feel the shift when we kept allowing the 3s practice. We allowed them to practice their way to getting hot, and then left them open too much afterwards.
Just a disappointing finish and shows the dangers of strong early leads. We didn't even play particularly well, just took advantage of poor play and we did not adjust well to the second half push.
LOTS of film, lots of chances for higher BBIQ and effort. Missed self-inflicted opportunity, and now we go on the road to see how the smarting from this one is responded to.

A reminder for fans:
A reminder for the team:
Also, coming into this game Wemby was third in the league in clutch points so far this season. Wemby had three shots in the 4TH Q. He had NO SHOT ATTEMPTS AFTER 6:18. How? HOW?! There's a clear pecking order of Wemby #1 option, unless he's really struggling. Acceptance and recognition of this will help us adjust and execute better.
