Bally Sports and NBA agree to rest of season contract
Bally Sports and The NBA have agreed to a deal that guarantees they will broadcast NBA Teams including The Magic for the rest of the season.
After that, The rights go back to The NBA and it's very possible Magic games will be delivered OTA and/or a streaming option starting next season. This deal gives them time The Magic time to prepare for that possibility.

I'd personally love it if they had some games On CW18 or MyNetwork TV again. A streaming option would be good too. It will be interesting to see what happens.

The CW aired an NCAA football game last week. I guess they're branching out into sports, or wanting to.

Bally sucks. I can't tell you the number of people I talk to who want to watch Magic games but can't because they're in Orlando and refuse to pay for Bally.
One of the few perks of me relocating to SWFL is that I can get League Pass to watch the games (edit: outside illegal streaming, lol).

They obviously don't want to watch that bad.

They don't want to pay a high monthly subscription fee to an app that they used to get that channel for free with Spectrum or other streaming platforms. I've had a number of them tell me they'd buy League Pass if they could watch Magic games on it since they'd also get every other game, but since they're blacked out it's not worth it to them.
They could obviously stream it through various websites. But that's a hassle in itself.
Just pointing out though that Bally's affiliation has led to a direct decline in viewership since they took over.

I hear you and agree with you however we are in the streaming world now where almost everything is separated and paid for by itself. If fans don't want to pay $20/month to watch 12-15 Magic games a month (less than $2/game) then they don't want to watch them that bad. It is what it is.

People want to watch a quality product at a fair price. The Magic do not currently provide this.

The Bally service is really, really bad. I honestly wouldn't care about the price, but the service is gross.

Re: Bally Sports and NBA agree to rest of season contract
I'm up in Celtics territory and I pay for NBA league pass team pass and it's $90 a year. Not a bad deal I only miss the Celtics against magic because of blackout restrictions.
Am I the only one here however that spends most of the game furious with the horrible coverage by the broadcast team? I don't mean Steele, Turner and Dante but the horrible horrible horrible camera directors. They spend so much time on a close up shot of a single player after a made basket that you miss the ball coming up the court and how the offense is setup way too much. The replays are terribly timed. Way too much live game action missed. Horrible game coverage. Terrible product. Thankfully it's only $90 for the season.

Yeah, whoever is operating the camera switcher needs to be retrained or replaced. So many plays are missed while we’re force to watch the camera focused on the last player that scored
