Game 6 Celtics and Timberwolves 11/6 7PM

Post#1 » by KGdaBom » Mon Nov 6, 2023 7:08 pm

Boston the best team in the NBA comes to Target Center to tangle with the rising Timberwolves. Derek White has already been ruled out and Kristaps Porzingis is questionable with a sty on his right eye. I am personally fine with them being at less than 100% for the game. Will Holiday guard ANT?

This will be the biggest test of the season so far. I know we beat Denver but everyone thinks Boston is the best team in the league right now. If we keep playing the way we have been lately we should overwhelm them with our depth. Towns should have a big game and can we keep them under 100 too?

No White is helpful...

The key tonight for me will be who wins between our two big lineup and Boston liking to play smaller with Brown and Tatum at forwards

Boston will go small with Pritchard and Hauser. They’re not world beaters but they’re system players who can really shoot it.

We need the bigs to CLOSE OUT today. “No threes!” mindset. Get all the way up on them and force them to try to score off drives. 2 < 3.

On O, punish them inside.

Will Jaden guard Tatum? Will he get into early foul trouble? This is what it comes down to for me (oh...and hitting 40% of our 3s).

If he could learn to concede some choice positioning disadvantages and even easy shots, it would benefit our team to keep him on the floor and also his O game to get in rhythm.

KG was a master at this. He knew when to take these calculated defensive risks (letting up exactly when foul risk becomes too high).

And if we play great and win in a blow out, the national media will give us no credit, and say, “What’s wrong with Boston?”

With out Kristaps I wonder if Boston will try to run us off the floor. It's the best strategy against us.

Wolves get this win and I think a lot more people will start to take them seriously. I myself will start to feel confident again. I expect a loss, I do think Boston is just better and a lot of that is their poise. I will be over the moon though if we get a win tonight. That will also give us the distinction of beating two undefeated powerhouses.

I don’t think Boston is playing into anyone’s hands with that line-up, that is a STACKED starting five.

Derrick White being out is huge for Minnesota, though. He drives a lot of their bench stability.

More speaking about starting Horford. Easy to put Gobert on the senior citizen!

Celtics are out of the gate on fire. Jrue on Towns is something I didn't see coming.

They are leaving Jaden wide open.

This Boston gameplan looks like money so far. Credit to them, this could break our already weak offense.
