How is Celtics significantly better in supporting cast

I'd say
MPJ<Porzingis
Murray=Brown
Gordon=White
Holiday>>>>Caldwell Pope
Celtics also have Al Horford who is good enough to be a starter on any other team

Brown has never come to being remotely close to as good as Murray has been in both of their playoff runs. Gordon is also a much better player than White. His team now that they retooled is elite. Maybe Boston's is a little better but considering Jokic is a significantly better player than Tatum, there's no excuse not to be as good.

You know.. if he's as good as people on here want him to be. :oops:

I agree. I was just basing off regular season. Murray is significantly better than JB in the playoffs. People need to stop being biased with Jokic. Even last year, I had people arguing that Giannis had a better supporting cast than Jokic when that was never true. MPJ is a damn near 50/40/80 player and people act like he isn’t an elite third option

I don't disagree with you necessarily. Both teams have pretty clearly the 2 starting 5's in the NBA.

The Celtics have a more proven bench though. The Nuggets bench doesnt have anyone proven on it like Horford.

Horford is near 40 averaging 5 ppg on 41%. That’s how i know y’all don’t watch the Cs lol. The team has always started and stopped with JT and JB no matter who is in the supporting cast.

Its on you to disproportionately weight a few games. Horford was great in the playoffs and made Embiid look like a chump. If you want a few games to cherry pick a narrative go for it.

Embiid with 48 points against the Wiz in 3 quarters. I get it's the Wizards, still that's impressive. He's had multiple games this season where he hasn't had to play the 4th, the Sixers have been that good.

Embiid had 29 points in the 3rd a career high.

He will 100% be in the running for the MVP again.

Nobody can act like one person has this in the books this early. But there’s only 5 players who have a chance to win mvp. These 5 have been great since day 1!

Joker, Embiid, Luka, Tatum and Steph. That’s it no one else is in the conversation.

Huh? Lmao. Again, you don’t watch the Celtics at all. Celtics were minutes away from elimination until Tatum completely took over game 6 bombing 3s away. You guys need to stop talking about teams that you clearly don’t watch. Horford was good in the playoffs two years ago not last year at all. He averaged 7 ppg on 39% and 30% shooting splits. So you’re the one cherry picking lmao

Too much pressure on him for another MVP, risking the name of regular season scoring monster.

Yeah I'd think he makes a run, and then takes some games off towards the end to preserve his health.

Everyone makes Embiid look like a chump in the playoffs, that doesn't mean much. The last time Al was incredible was the 22 playoffs. He's still very good but has fallen off compared to before.

All do respect to guys like Luke and Embiid and even Steph who've had great starts to the season, but gotdamn, Jokic is a freakin machine. He's clearly the MVP right now, imo, and there genuinely is no other right choice.

Those other guys would be strong MVP candidates in years where Jokic is not doing Jokic things on a top team

I don’t think the last 3 playoffs embiid has been a chump when healthy. He was rolling before his injuries in game 4 vs wizards in 2021

He was rolling vs raptors before injuring his thumb

Again vs the nets last season. They made a decision to get the ball out of embiid hands and still were down 0-3 embiid injured in that game 3 with lcl strain.

No shame in being behind someone that will be in the GOAT discussion when he hangs them up.

Joker with 35 points 14 Rebs and 12 assists. When you watch him play you just know you’re watching a legend of the game.

Jokic is as dominant of a player as I can recall.

Reminds me of Peak Bird or a different version of Hakeem (less defense and athleticism but more running the offense, passing and threes).

Jokic now has more career triple doubles than LeBron and what is this, his 9th season?

Absolute freak.
Jokic 31/21/22
Luka & Oscar = 5 x 27/8/8
The Brodie = All-out energy

Huh? Jokic's current career trajectory (barring injury or something unforeseen) absolutely will put him in the GOAT conversation.

Jokic has made 70% of his 2 pt field goals this season (81/116).

Tonight he had his first dunk of the year.
