Wolves with the big upset. Kinda bittersweet since I wanted us to be the first ones to beat them, but in most cases, I'll take any Celtics loss I can get.

Re: Around the League: 2023-24 Season
I'm not saying that cap flexibility and draft picks are worthless, but their value is decreasing. This is because there are now many talented players available on minimum contracts, and teams are increasingly willing to sign these players instead of using cap flexibility or draft picks to acquire mid-level talent.
For example, Lonnie Walker IV is averaging 15 points per game on a minimum contract. He, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Christian Wood all signed minimum contracts this season. Additionally, Cam Whitmore and Taylor Hendricks were sent to the G League instead of remaining with the Spurs.
This trend is also evident in the 2021 NBA Draft class. Seven players from this class have had their fourth-year rookie scale options declined or have been waived. This includes Jalen Bouknight, Josh Primo, Keith Jones, Kevin Johnson, Usman Garuba, Jalen Christopher, and Tyrese Washington.
A year or two ago, there was a lot of hype surrounding KJ Martin and we just got him as a throw in to the Harden deal. This is because there are now many other players available on minimum contracts who can provide similar production.
As a result of this shift, i find that teams are valuing cap flexibility or draft picks less nowadays. Because its cheaper to sign mid players via minimum contract.
So what’s the future look like?
You have a team like the clippers who has emptied their picks, being able to sign a lot of mid players. They can theoretically, build a team with Oubre, Christian Wood, Bouknight, Josh Primo, Josh Christopher, Ty Washington, Lonnie Walker, Andre Drummond and etc. The young guys with cheap long term contracts would be similar to draft picks. Roll the dice, and maybe you get lucky with one of them. Then you have a lot of mid players to help the team be a first and second round exit team? Brooklyn Nets has done it twice.

Expansion is coming, so the extra players floating around on minimums is coming to a close.
Only 4-5 teams are tanking at any given time.
Teams also seem very hesitant to make trades, they just continually extend their own players. This also makes free agency a less viable team building option.
Draft picks are going to be the only way to acquire players going forward, other than the occasional player bailing to chase a bigger role or player forcing his way out to a destination city.

Harden is so funny with the “im not a system player, im the system” quote. He’s still playing like how he did with the Sixers. He has Zubac playing Biid’s role and Hyland playing Maxey’s role

Wemby is 2-10 with 3 turnovers so far. Plays a losing style of basketball.

Imagine if Embiid did this. We’d have 10 different fan bases converging on this forum to tell us how much they hate him.

If you have one tech and you scream in a dude's face for like 5 seconds and you're not expecting another tech (even carrying on putting on a performance sitting in the crowd), then you're insane. That said, I have no ill feelings towards Giannis. Just an observation.

Wemby forming so many bad habits early. His whole playstyle is shaping up to be a future playoff loser. Shot selection is garbage and his turnovers are astounding.
Chet is the Jokic to his Embiid.

He needs to play with a guard. Their +/- is a lot better with Tre Jones. Right now he’s being used to win games but to have feel of different types of defense.
