Ya we missed Fultz' constant draw and kicks tonight. He is a good catalyst for this team when we are in a funk offensively.

Still pissed about the slow motion train wreck last night. So incredibly awful to watch the team give up like that.

We did it to ourselves. Luka went out and they got comfortable. Stopped moving the ball and then of course missed most of our open threes in the second half.

how do you let one of the worst defenses in the NBA hold you to a 2 point half?

If Franz played better and they had shooters they win the game. Paolo is the guy but he can’t win every game by himself.
I think we we’re 0-6 from 3 at one point so Dallas just crowded the lane on PB. He played too passive on certain possessions.

This was like the first ever game where Franz played like total ass.

So damn frustrating because that wouldve been a big win and we played such a good first half.

Against Lakers we made whole lot of shots, i think we shot something like 5/9 for 3 in first quater alone. ( don't qoute me on it, it's based on memory).

When we make shots, we make life easier for Banchero and Franz to attack lines. When we don't, we clog driving lines and make it very hard to get good looks.

But tbh only one play irritated living s*** out of me. It's post time out drawn play for Mortiz Wagner 3. Like, dude is 32% career shooter who never in his life shot near league's average. Can you simply run same play but to somebody who can actually- shoot?

THE 3QC IS BACK FOLKS!!!!!

a staple feature of being a Magic fan in the last decade is watching them ruin a good start with a shocker in the third.

Well, no need to pine for the past, as it sems to have returned to greet us again with that familiar 3Q sinking feeling.

at some point talent matters.

in second half, even a tired dallas team in back to back, when began to matched the effort, blowed us away.

nothing to say against the players, they tried super-hard,it is all a fan can ask for.

and for the classic magic goal,a 41-41 season, trying hard and putting effort could be enough this season or maybe next.

your idiosyncrasy about Ingles is definitely one of the funniest topic this season :)

Good first half! Team is fun to watch!
Growing pains are normal. I´m confident they´ll figure it out.
Magic missed fultz and wcj.
Black is good but needs to grow stronger.
Goga sometimes has difficulties scoring.
Wangner duo is a beast. Mauritz is a beast. Franz looked bit tired.
Banchero = Banchero but can use more spacing!
Cole´s bball IQ seems to be better.
Ingles i don´t know... ???
Suggs improved much.

This team will have a good future!

EDIT... city edition shirts looking good!

It is shocking that Orlando was the tired team this game. But there you go. Dallas simply "wanted it". Orlando must learn how to get that hungry for wins.

Box score thoughts.

The Magic lost the FG% battle and lost the game.
Dallas got to the line 10 times more than Orlando. Which was hlaf of the game's difference in one stat.
The Magic had more rebounds but the Mavs forced more TOs; so this balanced out.
The other half of the scoring differnce was Orlando's woes with their three-ball.
Spoiler:
Did somebody mention that outside shooting is an Orland weakness?

Luka Dončić is a very good player.

I am not sure if M-Wagner or Anthony is the better bench scorer. But I love what both players are giving this team in their roles.

The problem is Suggs not the PG rotation. Orlando will never be more than mediocre until a competent scoring SG is brought in.
For this game, Black was contained and played well (for a rookie).

Are we fans supposed to hpoe G-Harris returns quickly ?!?!??!? Yuck.

Luka expects to win every night. He doesn’t care against who or with who…Pasty Mamba

Very few get that borderline psychotic self-belief/competitive nature…Paolo has the body and agility to be a superstar if he shows that killer instinct more regularly- he might. Franz has all the talent in the world- I think he could be an All-Star, but not a consistent #1. We are still missing more than a supporting role player, we need another Alpha in the backcourt if we’re aiming to contend.

I didn't expect such a complete collapse in the second half, but I thought at halftime that we benefitted a lot from Dallas' lazy play on D until then and the game could turn if they started playing harder on that end. They did and we couldn't cope. It wasn't just the poor shooting on 3, we made way too many turnovers and the offensive boards completely dried up. And Dallas started playing smarter on offense too, they abused Mo Wagner's poor mobility a lot, for example. He scored well, but I thought he stayed in the game for too long in the 4th, he looked quite tired in the end. We probably would have lost anyway, but this is the second time this year where Mosley played him and Cole for too many minutes in a row down the stretch and the results were bad both times.

Rare poor game by Franz, he never looked in rhythm on offense and made some pretty bad decisions. Paolo with too many turnovers. Suggs started well scoring wise, but he continues to be too trigger happy for my liking and commits too many turnovers. Black had some very nice plays early on both ends, but he faded away as the game went on like most of his teammates. You'd think we were the team on the second night of a back to back given how flat we were in the second half.

Also, Ingles needs to start shooting more 3s, it's weird how reluctant he's been at this. He already has 2 games with 0 attempts from 3, he had only one such game last season. Last year he shot 7.0 pointers per 36 minutes, this year he's down to 3.9, which is a career low. Yes, his percentage is bad currently, but he's a career 40% shooter and shot 41% last season. I like his passing and his ability to run a pick and roll lot, but he's not worth playing with his poor mobility if he's not taking 3s.

Nearly half our salaries were out injured with Wendell, Fultz, Isaac, and Harris. Isn't that our top 4 salaries on the team? I doubt any team in the league could win with their top 4 salaries being out.
