Who's confident that Mazzulla can keep everything functioning at an optimum level so they can win the Championship?
Not me.
Any ways, White's back, better than a good chance, they'll beat Philly.
Hopefully, they remember they have a 7-3 offender who can score in the 4th quarter.

Big test for Zinger, lets see how he handles Embiid.... I'm guessing Holiday may defend as well, along with Big Al. This should be a nice bounce back game. C's really didn't deserve the Wolves game, Edwards wanted it more then our studs and Iso ball destroyed the C's. Joey you're on the clock! Tic Toc Tic Toc.......

Difficult game, Philly is playing good basketball and Maxey is a stud. Good opportunity to bounce back

I don't know, I think there's been a lot of improvement since last season but those end of game situations may have shown he needs yet another year of seasoning which we can't afford. We'll see. I'm not as bearish on him as last year, but again saving two timeouts for a hypothetical 45 second situation is just him trying to play 4D chess again.

Massive weight off their shoulders with Harden finally gone. What a black hole that guy is. Papi Horford is going to need to roll back the clock here, but hopefully having White back will help a bit.

I thought we would spilt between the wolves and sixers. We already lost against the wolves so let's win this one.

I hope it does. They need more crunch time reps. They learn little out of blowouts.

I personally think any "improvement" we see has far more to do with D White's elevated role and the addition of Jrue and KP than anything Joe has done.

I think his post was simply saying that Joe's coaching has improved a lot since last season.

If you think White, KP and Jrue have played well, that's great. But that's besides the point he was making.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I'm not a Mazzulla supporter, and yes having White balling out and Porzingis over Rob has been nice but it can definitely be both. Look, I agree last night gave me PTSD to the majority of our shortcoming last season but he is putting a much greater emphasis on defense this year.

I already said he probably still needs more seasoning than we really have time for with this group of Jrue, Al and Porzingis as key role players but he has been better this year, even if last night was indeed bad, which it very much was late game.

In a game that went down to the wire, you can't help but wonder if all we needed to win was replace Pritchard's 20 minutes with a replacement-level player. If we had an Austin Rivers instead of Pritchard, would we have been at least 1 point better?

Agreed, he’s a nice preseason/summer league/ inconsistent reg season player. How many times is he going to dribble into traffic , lose the ball or bounce it off Kornets head at the last second because he had no other option lmao. We need a backup PG for sure

I don't think Joe has improved I think his players and their decision makin has. And I mean the new additions.

Maybe or maybe not.. But it won't really matter if the starting 5. Don't execute well and go back into all habits when playoffs come around.

We saw it a little bit last night - Lamar the first guy off the bench, then Svi got in there for a few minutes.

I expect Joe will continue to tinker with the bench unit, give other guys (Svi, Lamar, Banton..maybe even Knight or Walsh) a chance to earn some minutes and see if they could give us a spark and possibly outperform some of the guys who are currently ahead of them on the depth chart (Hauser, Pritchard, Kornet, Brissett) - especially if those guys (Pritchard, Hauser, Kornet, Brissett) aren't producing.

Kornet has had a couple of games in a row now where he's been solid. So I think his spot is safe (for now) especially with Queta injured. He's your 3rd string big, your 9th/10th man.

Hauser has been ok. 7 PPG, 39% from 3, decent defense. He's serviceable for a 7th/8th man. The main drawback with him is he's a 1 trick pony. He gets the ball and shoots the 3 basically every time. And defenders know that, so they usually close out pretty closely on him. So then he forces these 3's with the defender right in his face and bricks it. He needs to get better at attacking close outs, so if the defender is up in his grill like that, he can attack the close out, put the ball on the floor and make a play. Or, if the defender is up in your grill beyond the 3 pt line, then cut to the basket, get the ball and lay it in. Or at least be able to make some slick passes if you're not open for the 3 - rather than forcing those 3 pt shots up when you're not open cause the defenders are playing up on you.

Obviously, this kind of stuff is why some on here have been clamoring for Svi to get mins over him - we'll see...

Lastly, if Pritchard continues to struggle, I could certainly see Banton getting in there. He gives us a different look, with his size, ability to get deflections, force turnovers and pressure the rim. If Pritchard isn't cutting it, we would need another guy in there to give us some ball handling - that's Banton.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Tbh if Pritchard struggles continues; I’d turn to Svi instead of Banton first. Pritchard his problem atm is that he’s trying to be a pg while sharing the court with Tatum. I’m sorry but that’s not what we need. Be a floor spacer and tertiary creator of the attention Tatum gets when you’re in with him. Save the pg stuff for garbage time or full bench lineups.

Thats a role Svi is perfect for; I always thought Svi was more of an alternative to Pritchard than hauser tbh
