Dame doesn't play D, people predicting them going all the way this year will be disappointed.

The problem is offense because defensively thats what they signed up for. They were expecting Dame to make up for it on offense.

To max out Giannis and Dame, you need a very duo centric offense. Kind of like how we did last season.

Seems to me AG wants them to pass the ball when defense would collapse, and this lead to a lot of shots for MID players then it also takes away rhythm for Giannis and Dame where they becomes more passive than aggressive on offense. Until crunch time, where they would go dame time while Giannis would also take his defense up a notch.

Overall, I think Bucks made the trade because Middleton’s health is in question. So they need a close down the stretch, which Jrue cant provide. But Dame is too steep of the price to pay with all the picks and sacrifice on defense.

I dont know. Maybe they can turn it around

Hard to expect the Bucks to be firing on all cylinders immediately, especially with a rookie coach. I think once they figure out how to utilize each superstar best it will be much more of a dynamic offense. Feel like there's potential to add another defender to the mix at the deadline too.

Bucks are clearly worse this year by downgrading to Lame and at coach. Their window may be shut unless Middleton returns to 100% and they make some great moves to fix their D.

He’s with Grant, not Siakam or Anunoby. Grant is slightly better than him on a much, much worse contract.

Tobias is not going to change his stripes. He is what he is, and what that is is not what this team needs. He has good games against bad teams all the time. Who cares.

None of those guys are who they should be targeting in a trade, although signing OG outright in FA would be nice if possible.

Can't deny he's playing well though. He's playing within the system, defending and picking his spots on offense. He's operating in the area where he's good at and being decisive when he has the ball.

Both the Bucks and Celtics traded away depth. That hurts. For the first time, in a long time, I don't get worried when the bench guys come in for the Sixers.

Middleton was an undeniable key to their championship run, that wing who can create and hit tough shots in the heat of a playoff game. In some ways it sems like Dame is supposed to take that perimeter creator and shot maker role, which he might, but in the process they completely lost Holiday's ability to lock down the other team's best perimeter guy.

Plus we have seen the difference a coaching change can make here this year.

I'm not sure Milwaukee has anything left in the tank to make one more move for a lockdown defender at the deadline, another reason I don't want Morey spending every chit possible in our first go round at filling out the team for contender status. There is always that last piece you don't know you need until later.

To be fair to the coach, he's got 2 guards that are putrid defensively, and one of the guys in Kris Middleton that is supposed to help their perimeter defense is on a minutes restriction and injured, and they have no depth behind that. Yet they are still winning. Beasley should be no one's starter

Even more of a reason to go get quality depth as opposed to overpaid supposed "3rd stars". Winning the bench game often makes a difference in the playoffs, and having more scoring options will never be a bad thing.
