I'd like some consistency from him.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Consistency will come if they give him a role and playing time that doesn’t fluctuate even when he has a bad game.

At this pace IMO he'll be starting by Dec.

BTW. I know it's early but he's 7/13 from 3, 53.8%. Obviously that's going down, but what I like is they are ALL open corner 3s. He's taking really smart shots. He's very selective in his shots and usually passing off to open guys.

So yes it's early, but so far it's been really good decision making. He's taking open shots or if he's inside going for a dunk as his overall FG% is 60%.

He is way better to me than what we saw in preseason. Where he was in weird lineups and jacking up all sorts of crazy stuff and trying to create shots and stuff. What he's doing in the regular season is EXACTLY what we all want to see from him with the main playmakers. Be an active defender, be a pest, find your teammates for the best shot and take your own shot when you are wide open.

Marjon is one of those “others” that the TNT studio crew talk about all the time. Sure in summer league and preseason he tried to create and hunt his own shot, but during the regular season, he’s playing exactly like you want a 3&D guy to play like. Clearly willing to accept his role and play within himself. Quick and decisive when the ball comes his way.

And is it me or is his handle so much tighter compared to last season? Still not perfect but so much tighter and he can attack off the bounce if the close out is coming too hard.

Agree on his handle, and he's thrown some beautiful passes off the dribble too. The layup he got Bobby last night was beautiful.

All he has to do is continue doing what he's doing, 3 & D and he will get PAID big. And when his contract is up if he wants he could go to the Wizards or wherever and jack up as many shots as he wants a game.

Of the rotation players MarJon currently leads the Bucks in Net Rating & in on/off numbers. It's time to make him the starter

Can someone update the “The Promise” Yi Jianlian meme with Beasley?

Inconsistency is what makes him human and, ultimately, relatable.

Of course I wasn't doing a Basketball Reference Player Comparison with MarJon and Mikal at the same age. That'd be insane!

He has the exact physical/athletic profile the team needs at the position. At this point I think even AG realizes the Beasley experiment has run its course. Beasley's better suited off the bench as a potential microwave shooter anyway.

Yea he's showing everything you could want so far and seems the logical move to the starting lineup. Trying to think through all angles though a bit, you always hear about the rookie wall and all that stuff. Well, this guy has played even less bball than a normal rookie due to all the covid stuff, not playing college, essentially not playing last year, etc. Could be a logic in keeping the workload low to start the year to avoid burning him out in a way in order to have him still be fresh for later year/playoffs.

I think promises were made to Beasley and he probably would have been decent next to Jrue. Maybe they are just slowly walking him down from what they told him he would be doing here when he signed.

The player management aspect is for sure something that most people don't really even consider.

Marjon has great "feel" for the game. He isn't robotic or overwhelming physically. He has a smoothness and polish to the way he moves. Hopefully he can harness and utilize those gifts.

That's why I'm saying December. Because marjon clearly shows he's the better fit for a month so it's self evident to everyone.

There is no chance I believe that promises were made to Malik Beasley regarding starting.

Yeah, that makes about as much sense as Rodney Hood being promised a starting spot.
