At the moment I'd go with Buddy Hield.

The hope is that a higher level guard starts pushing to get traded and we jump on it

I'd go for a guard between James Harden or Cam Thomas. James Harden is going to be a little expensive but he doesn't have a market now wanting him. But he could fit in with our rotation and add experience plus shooting.

Cam Thomas is a TD addition imo. Dude is lighting it up in Brooklyn. But there are going to be competitors.

BTW is it writing on the wall that Markelle Fultz is not going to be resigned? TBH we have AB and he is on rookie contract. Fultz is going to demand at least 15M+ like he did plus he will be a UFA and he is going to have a market. Because he is a good but maybe not starting PG on many teams. Before the season, I had high expectations for Fultz especially with his changed 3 pt shooting form. But his shooting just has not been good and he still hasn't made a 3pt shot yet. But AB? Wow. Dude is lighting it.

The biggest surprise I had for this season is Jalen Suggs. Dude is a winner. He absolutely makes winning plays. And he proves that he wants to be on this team. He showed defense, heart and fight, which are all intangibles not on the stat sheet.

Only 7 games into the season, but we could easily be 5-2 with possible wins at Lakers and hosting Mavs if we played a little better.

Very promising season so far and another tough one playing Hawks on Thursday.

Good luck, Magic fans!

Come on now. Let's not go crazy over a small sample size.
He'll probably be down to 40% from 3 before the end of the season. Currently, he's 68/57/60. With 10 straight FGs to start his career for the first time in 27 years.

I have a difficult time seeing Orlando go after some grizzled veteran that has made 12+ allstar appearances with a penchant for “requesting” a move.

It’s going to be for someone like Cam. Unlikely to be him though because of the asking price.

Buddy Hield
Joe Harris
Gary Trent
Tyus Jones

Those are likelier candidates.

I’m kind of scared of Cam, in particular, but I’m also ready for our illustrious FO to qualify the right guy and pay the man…tired of celebrating “team friendly “ deals for okay players vs actually improving the team to a significant degree. Frugality helps, but it is not my favorite metric for professional sports teams.

Why not max out Siakam? He could fill the role of Isaac but play 32 mpg instead of 10. That way, if healthy, you'd always have 2 of Franz, Paolo, or Siakam on the floor at all times.

Boston has Brown and Tatum, but they would throw the bag at Siakam if they could.

Reminds me of when Aaron Gordon started a season shooting like 45% from 3 through the first 10 games and then just evaporated, lol. We all thought he had turned that corner.
