3 and D Centers are Starplayers. The only one that fits the bill and is not a star is Brook Lopez, and is not getting younger.

The C position has already bin fixed and Poeltl will never come of the bench, for that he is too good to accept that anymore.

I think Gary and Pascal get traded as OP stated. Gary is just not a good player and some other team will offer more to Siakam the what he’s worth on the Raptors. I still think he’s much better than what he’s shown this season but we need different skill sets than what he provides. Also can you be sure he didn’t actually start a decline last year? We need bench pieces!

As for a prediction, OG is part of the plan and there’s no trade there. He’s getting paid next summer.

GTJ is a player type we would be looking for if traded away. Shooter. Young.

Pascal as complimentary #2 to a star SF that shoots threes and overpowers people (Kawhi), has actually worked in the past. Let's let Pascal adjust back to his previous role. I've seen this board write off Siakam multiple times, and then watched Siakam make an All NBA team right after. Patience.

OG can guard any position and hit 3s. What more would you want next to Barnes?

We just drafted the perceived best shooter in the lottery/draft (Dick).

We drafted a theoretical 3&D center last year (Koloko - check his combine shooting numbers).

Need to get:
- an efficient combo guard that isn't terrible on defense (Quickly?)
-a healthy 3pt shooting C (Draft? Olynyk? Koloko? Precious?)

Immanuel Quickley is exactly the type of player that would make sense for us. He’s a free agent after this year. If we wanted his bird rights, we may be able to acquire them, but IQ is a big part of the Knicks team.

Is it possible to steal him away from the Knicks for ~$25m? I think we could make that number work if we let GTJ go (or trade him for expirings and futures) and sign him before locking up OG.

Consider me strongly interested!
I believe in Masai.

That lineup requires a star PG. Is that Cason?

I agree you need a scoring guard at either the PG or SG position

Those PGs would be ideal but don't think either OKC or Indiana are giving them up. The young PG of the future likely will come here via the draft(maybe from a pick acquired for Siakam).

Gotta see what Siakam can do in the next 20.

Trent & Boucher IMO are trade-bait for this deadline or before. I don't think OG gets moved and we secure him next offseason but Siakam either starts really producing and clicking with the system or Masai looks to get a decent package for him. If he pulls off AJ/Bufkin/filler then I will be content.

Gotta remember these things are assuming Scottie becomes a top 5 player.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

I don’t see a superstar or anything but I do see the next Malcolm Brogdon type. Smart player with good positional size that can play on and off ball and defends. I like him quite a bit. My idea was:
Pascal, Flynn, for theis, hield, shepherd and nembhard. Sheperd also looks like he has some potential.

He is planing to sign Giannis in 2030. Until then he is going to evaluate and keep the treadmill going. :P

Really?
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/n/nembhan01.html

Last year at 23,
44/35/79 - 9.5 , 4.5, 2.7 - Negative BPM, VORP and on/off

This year at 24,
42/22/72 - 8.3, 4.3, 1.3 - Even worse advanced stats.

I feel like this guy got a huge following on this board because,

a) He lit us up that one game
b) people were angry about the Thad trade and vaulted all the players between Branham and Koloko higher than they deserved to be.

Look.. if you want to say trade Pascal I can see the logic with the time frame. Posting trade both them.. you love nuts of all variety. That's all I can take from your assessments.

These wanna be GMS..

This!

Lets call it “desmond bane” syndrome or “Malachi has to suck at every facet of the game so i can be right” syndrome

Hmm, the second option might be too wordy

I think the OG would be Iverson syndrome (we won the draft, but we’re forced to pick second and draft Camby) and…

Iggy syndrome.
I believe in Masai.

His BPM and VORP are marginally better, his ORTG and DRTGs are up, WS/48 have more than doubled, TS% is up 2.4%, USG% up while TOV% stayed the same. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's any saviour or the solution to our problems, but are you sure you're looking at the right stats?

As someone that's followed Nembhard (and been a fan of) since his Gators days - he's definitely not someone that possesses star potential, nor can he ever be the sidekick to Scottie in the same way Murray is to Jokic.
Andrew is an EXCELLENT role player and will always be one. He'll carve out a long NBA career but if you're looking for a "young PG who can pass, shoot, and break down the defense" at a HIGH level, Nembhard is not that guy.

He's also turning 24 soon so it's not like we're discussing a 19 year old prospect here either.
