It’s why we need Gradey to stop being a pussy and start being aggressive with his shots lol.

Him and Scottie can run an insane PNR on paper.

Trent is destined for trade bait this season. He's just mediocre as a player. We can do better.
I'm glad for games like last night to develop his trade value but the man has got to go. I wish we still had Norm.

Next year....

People in general, not just you, need to be patient. Strength, endurance, and experience is the only thing holding Gradey back and all those things come in time. I think he pops next year.

Even though he had a rough shooting night, Scotties BPM is at 7.9. Impressive

I think a lot of this is excuses for him, I agree that the reasons you listed are very real but those aren’t the reasons why he isnt shooting.

He’s open multiple times in a game because of his experience in spacing the floor and has the endurance to constantly move.

His issue is all confidence related. He’s afraid of getting blocked when he catches the ball which is why he’s constantly pump faking.

No question his confidence is shook the last few games. Going to be fun watching him put it all together.

I don't think it'll take long for him.

The scary thing is, he actually has a shot to average this for the season. He fills the stat sheet so easily and the steals/blocks will come more easily now given his role defensively

Yeah even in a bad shooting night he's still going to get steals, blocks and rebounds. Just being in a better defensive role has helped him tremendously. I think we all agreed that he shouldn't be guarding at the PoA on a regular basis but be a roamer in the lower half of the court. That's where his BBiQ and physical tools can be best utilized on the court.

Nurse was so clueless with his defensive schemes, no one can change my mind on this. They were way too damn aggressive on their 3pt closeouts it made me sick.

I didn't watch the game, but it looks like Scottie just filling up the boxscore per usual this year. Clearly an off scoring night, but a monster impact on the game. Also great to see Pascal bounce back, hopefully he can continue to increase is value.

shooting was the negative in this game but defense, rebounding and playmaking were all very good.

He still ended up with the highest BPM among the starters

GTJ is who he is - a low BBIQ tunnel vision shoot first guard - and didn't deviate from that yesterday. He shot 55% including 4-8 3PT and clearly has a place on this team that's short on shooting. Barnes is smart and knows the way GTJ plays and will adjust to optimize his contribution which was what happened yesterday.

GTJ's long range shooting was needed yesterday. No need to espouse further hate on the guy for doing what he's here to do. If you have a problem with that, blame the guy who built this roster for not finding a more well rounded Guard.

Also led the team in assists, steals, blocks, rebounds (both OReb and DReb), +/-, FT attempts, and turnovers (only starter with none). You take a game like that from him all day, and every day.

Last 2 gamas:

11 FTAs vs the Spurs

8 FTAs vs the Mavericks

Need more of that and attacking the rim in general, less chance of droughts when we have this as a viable stopgap

Pensare is the definition of a "little much"

Scottie is an unicorn though, not in the "holy **** this will break the league" unicorn but he's one nonethless in that he doesn't really have an apt comp in the league.
