True, but when the shots aren't falling (case in point, yesterday's game), shouldn't there be a backup plan?

It's not like all we did was take 3's every time down the floor. Look at all these shots in the paint that we missed.

And the shots from 3 in this video were wide open or in the flow of the offense - it's simply bad basketball to turn down those types of looks.

I’ll add to this; the Celtics had 28 assists out of 36 made baskets last game. That’s 77%. Losing is always annoying but the minny game and the Philly game were just very different kind of losses and I’m not sure why people seem to treat them as equivalent.

He doesn't suck. He's played great stretches these years with an ever changing role. He's short, sure, but a guy will go through bad stretches. For this contract and a bench role, I trust him in the long run.

Ref was staring right at Embiid’s foot too and decided we should just all go home.

For reffing things like this I'm starting to believe the competition during the regular season is a joke, not a serious one.

Hehe, it's amazing how firing Doc Rivers makes your team much better.

I don't know how but Celtics clearly need at least one more quality bench player. The bench is atrocious. Most of NBA champions had couple role players from the bench whom they could trust. Even Bron back in Miami big 3 days figured it out they needed a guy like Shane Battier to give some quality minutes.

The Head of NBA Officiating must have some naughty pictures of Silver. Not just related to the Celtics but so many of these games have been in enjoyable to watch because of them. I don’t know how they don’t see that. I’m not a Giannis fan but him getting ejected the other day should be unacceptable to the league for the level of action he displayed.

The sad thing is, and I don’t know if it’s because they’re unionized or what but the refs aren’t held accountable. What? They don’t get to ref the playoffs if they’re more junior? Well they’ll make it on tenure alone soon enough.

Very annoying season with regards to the officials across the league.

I don't remember too many stretches where he played his role great. I honestly just might not be remembering correctly. The only thing I remember is sometimes he would get pretty hot from 3 for a game or two. But that seems like it's always been very far and very few between.

Seems to me we need him less as another shooter and more as another ball handler that can run the second unit. And he consistently seems to fail miserably at that. . .. ... unless the team is already up by 30. Then he's your guy.

Can you imagine paying good money to go to that game and having the biggest draw there being ejected over nothing?

It's been 7 games and Kristaps already has 5 techs (leads the NBA). Not sure if any of them were legit if these refs can be serious for a moment.

If we just need another ball handler out there to help run the 2nd unit, I say we give Banton a shot.

As we know, the bench units work best when Tatum is out there with them. So we could do Banton/Tatum/Hauser/Horford. That way you have Banton for ball handling (and size and decent defense), Horford, Tatum and Hauser can shoot. Banton can pressure the rim, Tatum gives you an iso shot creator type. Then is the 5th guy Kornet? I'm not sure Kornet/Horford is a good combo. That lineup would leave us with probably not enough shooting - which is likely one reason why Pritchard gets those mins instead of Banton.

If we had Brissett or Stevens in there, that's not enough shooting either.

Perhaps Tatum at the 4 with Banton/Svi/Hauser/Horford could work - it's at least worth testing it out.

Or you just stagger Jrue and White so 1 of them is on the floor at all times..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Kristaps getting an unfair whistle, that much seems pretty clear.

Horford was hella bad in this one. First time I've seen him struggle guarding Embiid. And that's on top of him not being able to make shots. Had a couple of blocks but that pretty much was it. 1/6 from 3. -23 in a 3-point loss. The rest did him good. I thought against Toronto he was much better.
