- we can't play half court with or without him, but with him it's just way more jarring and by default happends at end of a games so people tend to pay attention to those plays more , including defenses from opposing teams
- replacing him with Black in SL would still solve nothing, we would still have horrid shooting from backcourt. Black doesn't even play playmaker but SF ( witch some of us predicted in summer)
- i expected him to go balls deep into contract year and i still think he will have streach where he averages 20 ppg
. he will never be 3 point shooter. If you didn't figure that by 2019 i don't know what to tell you, hopefully half decade extra helped you finally come to same conclusion.
Black plays guard and he's a good shooter

Atleast he has a sample size. Fultz wont even shoot them,
I think the bigger problem is, some people seem to think everyone was expecting Fultz to take us to the next level, while im sure most of us were just hoping he would be a servicable player that could knock down an open shot and not prevent the guys that would really take us to the next level, from getting crowded. The guy is 11 years younger then Chris Paul. We were all hoping he could atleast figure out a way to get a shot up that teams had to cover.
Instead he is regressing and causing spacing issues. He seems like a hard worker, so I am still chalking it up to the injury, i don't think it's the yips or whatever personally.
I honestly think his TOS is the issue. In practice, warm ups, offseason pick up games, it's super easy to go at your own pace, it's nothing like a real game. It really seems like he just doesn't have the power in his shoulders to shoot it. I was hoping this would be a thing of the past, since he has a ton of other good qualities.
It's easy to say that he is mentally out of it, but lets be real here. It's a basketball game. He makes 20 mill a year. I really doubt he is "scared" to shoot a ball. He has said himself, that when this injury first started, he couldn't lift his arm over his head and had to recreate his jump shot. We have seen a few careers go down the drain from this injury in many sports, and they dont even involve lifting a ball over your head.
I am guessing he's going to have a tough time getting a good contract once he expires.
