As always, playmaking. He has never truly seen the floor the way elite floor generals and playmakers do and he’s always been slightly reluctant as a passer. You can double him and have a decent chance of him making a mistake. The issue for KD is he’s always open, the pull up mid range is literally always there, impossible to take away, so he never developed that high level floor vision and passing - not even saying he had to be Magic LeBron or Bird but he isn’t even Kobe or Jordan in this respect when you compare him to somewhat similar players.

In ways he’s a victim of his own gifts. Both his handle and his playmaking never developed to the highest level that ATG perimeter players possess, and I think it’s due to the fact that he’s always open from any angle and any defensive coverage. I compare it to a lazy but genius student who could ace all the tests in school but never truly learned how to study and work hard.
