God I hope he's okay, he was having such a great start to the year as well, feel bad for him for that contract as well.

Thankfully doesn't sound like it's life threatening, and will return for the season, but honestly that doesn't matter at this point.

His recovery is the primary concern, but basketball-wise, this will be a tough loss. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

It's heartbreaking, but a devastating reminder that these are the Sixers.

So much bigger than basketball though, praying that he's alright and recovers to full health.

Yup agreed, so easy to be concerned about the team, but as long as he can recover fully, and continue his career, that's what matters. Life can go by in a flash. Grateful it wasn't worse.

I can't remember hearing anything like this any time recently. NBA player injured not by some stupid outside-of-contract motorcycle , ATV, snowboarding or moped incident, but just crossing the freaking street. In-season. Poor Kelly, poor Sixers.

Hope he recovers well. The Sixers count in the last 5 years of players who almost died now stands at two. The Zhaire allergic reaction and now this. Dark cloud over this franchise, please go away.

Ok so I have to ask how many players in the NBA get hit by a car in a season?
How many players forget how to shoot?
How many players just refuse to shoot?
How many GM get burner accounts so they can talk crap about their star players?

This franchise is something else.
