Is Jalen Suggs our 3rd best player?

Post#1 » by MasterGMer » Sun Nov 12, 2023 1:47 am

We finally beat the Milwaukee Bucks!!

Even though they do not have Damian Lillard, but beating this team by 15 is really good for this young Magic team

Paolo did Paolo things and 24, 12 and 5? WOW. Such a good turnaround after we gave up Hawks game

Franz is 24 points tonight also. Good performance

But the point of the day is Jalen Suggs. He had 18 points in the first half plus having team high 10 FT attempts, which means he is aggressive

Jalen is clearly a winning player on the court while having +10

The question is Are We really going to admit we have a 3 headed Young Players on this squad.

Is Jalen our 3rd best player?

To be honest, I really hope Jalen can have a successful season. He already showed he is the Starting SG for the Orlando Magic, period! I just hope he can keep it up and shows who we are. We are D Orlando Magic!

Our third best player depends on the night.

Right now he is #2.... until Franz gets into his groove.

Maybe we have our third piece to the core that everyone in the media seems to so desire.

I’m just going to say that Orlando is hard to beat if Jalen Suggs is scoring well (with Paolo & Franz) with also playing elite defense.

If any of them are “off” it’s much more difficult.

I went with "I don't know"

For me it's between him and WCJ. I lean Suggs and lean harder by the game. Fultz has fallen off and out of the conversation.

Should this thread be called: “Who is (our third best player)?!”

Right now it’s an easy yes, because to me he’s the engine behind our top defense. His energy is infectious and so is his competitive spirit. When he scores well it seems to give us the edge offensively.

I'm not ready to say he's better than WCJ yet, but I may be ready soon.

Our 3rd best player is depth. It allows any given player to have hot night. Even against Bucks this game, we had Mortiz Wagner as wild card for efficient 19 points. Against Lakers Goga had 10-10- 5 (blocks).
In som nights it's Fultz, others it's Suggs.

When everybody is healthy, today, 3rd best player is Wendell on most nights. Ofc, now we have no clue when he will return so it opens a door for conversation.

At his best he is but he's inconsistent on offense more than other guys. Always brings it defensively.

If he can bring it consistently that would be wonderful and everything I thought of him.

Indeed!

Right now I would have Suggs as the Magic's fifth best player, behind Anthony and M-Wagner. But all of this is relative to the jobs being asked of these players.

My point: Orlando has 5 wins because of bench rebounding and bench second-chance points. Anthony and M-Wagner have direclty contributed to wins, more so thatn Suggs, in my opinion.

By "Per 36 Minutes" and by PER, Suggs is clearly not the Magic's 3rd best player.

I am a hard no here.

We don't have Raptor anymore, but we have P.I.E. Just noticed Goga's net rating is 22.7.

AND-1

No team can plan for "Orlando's 3rd best player" because there is so much depth.

I think the offensive rebounding dominance is sustainable and is going to hurt a LOT of opponents this year.
