Moussa is looking so promising, it's going to be painful when Frank trades him for washed-up Theis.

Need to trade Norm he is redundant. PJ Tucker is almost useless except he can get an offensive rebound. Lastly clearly the "big" 4 starting lineup is trash. Someone or two needs to not start. Damn egos if you don't like it go somewhere else.

The actual most impressive thing about Moussa is his quite low foul rate for a young energy big man. Many times you have guys like that who are averaging a foul out in like 30 minutes. Moussa, though he hasn't played a lot of important moment minutes has only done 2.8 fouls/36 in his 229 career minutes so far. That is promising.

PJ not doing anything. Get Kobe in there because he can be relied on to make a shot. Easy to see.

Mann knows he can't let Kennard get space, all over him

Or George. It's one of those three.
Or it can be all three. My suggestion would be to start only Leonard, and surround him with role players, remind him of his Spurs days. Then bring one superstar off the bench at a time, staggering through SoCal. Harden-Leonard, Harden-George, Westbrook-George, Westbrook-Leonard.
This is a terrible plan and you won't win in the playoffs with that nonsense, but when did Kawhi only have role players around him in San Antonio? His weakest star teammate was Aldridge, lol
KAWHI was the role player. The year he won the Finals MVP, he averaged only 12.8 ppg in the regular season, the 3rd leading scorer behind Parker and Duncan.

So far seems like Lue is going Harden/Kawhi then Westbrook/George as the pairings, which is what most would have assumed, since PG/Westbrook have chemistry.

True. That's not a very good plan to only keep kawhi as a starter.
Also by role players he probably means not superstars.

Yea, exactly, but I think Wammy was talking about when Kawhi became a scoring force and star, but he had Aldridge those seasons.
Mann is also back now, we already knew there were way too many guards for everyone to get minutes every night. Maybe they decided that a four guard lineup was not the planLamarWho wrote:Bones in the dog house?

Re: Game #9: GRIZZ (1-8) @ LAC (3-5) SUN 11/12 12:30 PM
Rough times. PG and Kawhi are having to learn new roles at least through the middle of the games. Being PnR recipients or catch and shoot players. Westbrook when on the floor with Harden is also operating as a catch and shoot in the corner often. Problem with that is defense sags way off and the paint is clogged. There is no spacing for Harden to work. If Westbrook has it then Harden is in the same situation. But he’s not a catch and shoot player. Yet. Tucker can’t make a shot anymore and he’s slowed. It’s apparent now even more than last year. Not sure why Clippers took him honestly. It’s going to take major sacrifices and relearning roles to make this work. That has to be figured out by the players internally. They wanted it though and for that reason I think we have to give it several games. I still stand by the 20 game mark though because there was zero games played by this group before the trade with Harden literally no games at all.

Re: Game #9: GRIZZ (1-8) @ LAC (3-5) SUN 11/12 12:30 PM
Good to see George playing more like normal again.
Games 1-5: 29/5/4
Games 6-8 (post Harden): 14/6/2
Yes, George can't be the glue guy, that's a guy like Terrance Mann's job
The Grizzlies suck of course, so anything that happens against them isn't particularly indicative of much against better opponents. They are 29th in Ortg, so far average on defense, but losing to them at home would be indicative of extra suckiness.

I’m busy and not able to watch the game, but just wanted to add that I think it’s a god sign that we were down at end of Q1 LOL, since we had leads the last 4 losses.
Also, if we go on to lose this game there needs to be a players only meeting. I think everyone is trying to accommodate the others and be a good teammate, but that’s not working and everyone needs to be honest and open about how they think they need to play to get wins.

Nice run and energy. How long before Lue ruins it with dumb substitutions.

This is true Love for Harden
You’ve been apologetic for Harden first on the Nets board , then Sixers board , now here on the Clippers board
Wake up Harden was washed up bum 3 years ago while on the Nets , don’t lie to this guys that there is no spacing for Harden to work , it’s a baloney, this guy is great at alienating locker rooms , and that’s already visible how poor Clippers play now compared to before the trade
Return to Los Angeles Clippers
