Oubre doesn't positively impact the Hornets. With Oubre they would still be barely able to make a trade without limiting the rotation even more. No one is trading for Oubre as an asset. As a throw in contract in a hypothetical trade that the team isn't going to make because they aren't taking back more salary, okay, fine, whatever, maybe.
You do realize Oubre was the 5th leading scorer on the 43 win Hornets? He was 7th in win shares, 9th in VORP.
I would easily give him 10 million if he did that for us this year.
You act like he shot 27% from the field and we won 7 games when he played on the team. He is very clearly a functional NBA player. He was for us that year, is for Philly this year. but let's just only look at him when we were the 4th worst team in the league and he was forced to start and shoot 20 times per game....
This is such a takelock position by this entire board.
I called this out weeks ago that we were going to suck if we had to play McGowens, Thor etc and you guys told me that was wrong that even they would be better than chucker Oubre. Here we are 2-5 coming off a 20 pt loss to Wizards... but yeah you hold onto this take that everything is fine and Clifford should be figure out how to win with the worst bench in the league right now lol
