If the rumours that the Raptors could have traded for him are true, then what the hell is wrong with our front office?

I honestly doubt it, but it was probably Masai and Bobby doing their dumb shakedown tactics of asking for picks Maxey Embiid and everyone on their roster for Lowry
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I doubt that I mean we're talking about Daryl Morey here. From what I understand and based on what other offers were out there for Kyle (Miami didn't offer much and the Lakers didn't even want to include THT). The Sixers wanted Lowry for Green (Salary) + Thybulle and no picks. Raptors wanted either a first or Maxey and the Sixers just went with their plan B and got George Hill. I don't think Maxey was ever in the discussions.

trading for Maxey wasn't possible with Morey as the Sixers GM.

If Colangelo was still running the Sixers then I would put money on Maxey being on the Raptors right now. He would've done the Lowry for Maxey trade.

My “Maxey would be our best scorer” take from 2 years ago is aging like wine.

Haliburton is great man, still a meh defender but his offense in this style of run/gun is crazy.

He continue this and this is a borderline top 10 player.

I won't go that far because he is not close to the creative passer Nash is or even Trae currently is. But his shooting is real and he plays with ridiculous pace.

23/11 on 64% TS. Even with his defense if he keeps close to that over a season that is a top 15 player even in a deep league.

Not talking skillset but as in how fast they move the offence when he’s on the floor. Unreal pace. But like Nash, his defensive issues will limit him from being a true #1 on a championship team but man he can be an elite 1B.

Look at the way the ball hums in Pacers' offense. All the cutting and passing. That sure looks like what Darko is trying to install here to me.

come on man. Pacers have shooting up and down the roster and they have Haliburton who is a lot better than Barnes/Pascal on offense.

You replace Hali for Barnes on the pacers and their offense is barely better than league average instead of best in the league.

Moreys best offer was 100% Thybulle/Green a 2nd. I think the funnier thing is them thinking Hill was a good Lowry back up plan as he scored less than 2 ppg in their loss to the Hawks. They could've won it all that year if they came with a decent offer for Lowry lol

Nurse is going to win his second COTY if Philly remains this good.

Thybulle was the sticking point, not Maxey.

Pretty sure the offer was Maxey and filler but Masai wanted Thybulle included with a first and Morey stopped the talks after that.

Ignoring how good Hali is they have amazing spacing and waaaaaaaaay more shooting than we have. Cutting works best when you have a scorer that demands a second defender or a shooter that forces defenses to push up. We have neither lol.

Dude, that's partly the point I been making. We may not have the personnel to run his offense. I'm still reserving judgement to see if Darko can make it work without the shooting. Because that's what he's insisting right?
