Don't be dumb and start Quickley over Grimes. He's a major part of why the bench unit has been exceptionally potent. Grimes can still play D. And that's something that's needed on the starting unit.

The points for the team and IQ will be there. Let him crush the backups.

Both have been lights out since August lol, shame it doesn’t help our own Raptors players.

Who or what is NOAH? Dort has been good too.

There was a Trae trade thread on the TNT board where I brought up Trae’s wack career numbers, and I was going to post this in the around the NBA thread. Their FG% is almost identical too.

One considered a great shooter.

One considered one of the worst shooters.

In Trae’s defense, he does take way more difficult 3’s than RJ but this is why TS% can be a little deceptive. It really protects these foul merchants. I wonder how long he needs to shoot like this to finally stop getting star calls? He’s shooting 10 free throws a game! That’s just insane.

Kinda interesting that both him and a lesser extent LaMelo were held in such high regard a few seasons ago and they’ve pretty much lost the entire standings in nba circles.

what would RJs 3pt% be if he shot all of Trae's 3s

and what would Trae's 3pt% be if he shot all of rjs threes?

Pretty much yeah. It’s a board that tells you the optimal shooting arc for your form and lets you know if you’re off balance or shooting too low.

I’m glad no one has told Trae to take better shots yet. Cuz what good having this kind of shooting talent if the results are so poor?

I thought we already had this tracking for the players.

I distinctly remember reading a story about it a few years ago that we installed the cameras and had it for the players

There's something to your point there. Also, he's not really good at playing off-ball, and that's where you get a lot of those easy threes that he should be hunting.

Lots of teams have it. Guess they didn't have it in Memphis since Dillon was gushing about it lol.

Zion seems alarmingly disinterested in basketball. Is it because he is stuck in NO? It's not even that he has had freak type of injuries...most his injuries seem like a result of not being interested to prepare and keep in shape. I really hope he picks it up. Such an enourmous physical talent.

What would RJ’s shooting % be if he took better shots in the flow of the offense his whole career instead of forcing the issue?

You can play hypothetical and keep going. Trae has the ball in his hands chooses bad FGA. Should I not count it when RJ did the same??

I've always kinda thought Trae's jumper was overrated and his passing was his best skill. Trae does have higher usage than Brunson but it's close enough to be comparable. How often does Brunson take a crazy long three? If he's shooting any pull ups it's immediately after coming around the screen. So it is possible for someone that's on ball a lot to take better 3's.

And Philly’s starting SF was hit by a car yesterday. They adjusted pretty well all things considered.

They look a lot better this year with Maxey playing freely.

Either Maxey or IQ are better for a team than Harden. We've got our own Maxey. We never needed that guy.

Also, Grimes doesn’t need the ball to fit with the starting unit. Thibs has this part right.
