Great win. Take Steph away and the warriors are no longer the juggernaut of yesteryear. Hopefully we can get the next one too.

Wolves only have two 6 game winning steaks since the season (2003-2004), the one we are in now and one in 2021-2022. If we win the next game, it will be the longest since 2003. So far, this year's team is looking better than the Garnett team and the Butler team.

I think this team can get multiple double digit win streaks this season tbh.

The Butler team wasn’t particularly good. We’ve really only had one legitimate contender in franchise history. And I agree, so far this team looks on par with that one.

Why weren't starters for both teams in at the end? Splash bros on minutes restriction on B2Bs? Very confusing ending while not listening to volume. Steph out and white man can't jump in? He tore us up and it got close enough at end to try? Why did they give up?
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

And it seems to me that the chemistry between the team and Rudy has improved significantly! By the way, do we want to talk about Gobert? Another double double on the scoresheet and 5 blocked shots!
AAAARRRRROOOOOOOOO!!!

2 things really impress me overall :
- The defense of course. That's why we get Rudy and it finally seeems to work.
- The communication between players. You see it's a real team. I see several times KAT as a leader come to talk to Rudy and cheer him up when he miss FT, i see Mike, obviously our leader talk a lot with Ant. Those are good signs. We not only got talented players, we got a team !

If Cassell hadn't got injured during the Lakers series in 2004 we would have been NBA champions that year. I wouldn't be too quick to say this years team is better, but it might be.
The Butler playoff team was nothing to brag about.

It was the players they had in there that made the comeback. Not the starters. If they put their starters in they knew we would too. It was a game of cat and mouse.

I bet Chuck and Shaq will still maintain that KAT and Rudy don't work and it was the stupidest trade of all time.

These throwback unis are CLEAN.
Just like how the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks etc. wear their classic jerseys as the norm, the Wolves should make these permanent.

One of the best games I’ve seen from KAT in a long time. He had a few drives where he missed some layups that he usually makes. We all know how that could go, but instead, he kept his composure, got back on defense, and hustled his ass off. Love that!

Re: Game9 MIN @ GSW
I tell you what, that game from Tows is exactly what we need. His only real barrier at this point is the mental one. He has shown he has everything he needs to take this team to the next level skill-wise. I don't mind him being a slump, or missing some shots, especially when he defends and rebounds like he has been. The maturity and composure he showed for most of the game is the missing the link. He does that all season, its over.
I don't know if we can win a title but we will win a hell of a lot of games and we will win playoff games because he wont shoot himself in the foot. Low fouls, low turnovers, low stray stray voltage, that's an opposing teams worst nightmare. A composed KAT is a major ceiling-raiser for us. I really hope he can keep that going. He defense was fantastic last night too, both in one on one situations, even on wings, and with some really timely help situations. He was on fire.

Who still wants to trade Towns now? It seems he plays great vs GSW and DEN
There seems to be some disconnect. I will not talk for anyone else...but I do not WANT to trade KAT. I've enjoyed watching him play since he was a rookie. His improved defense is awesome. I will cheer for him as long as he is a Timberwolf. It is about being realistic and understanding it might HAVE to happen - and if it HAS to happen, when is the best time to do it and what is the best trade to get back. What is best for the team's future hinges largely on what we do with KAT. Some of you pretend like money is no issue, but it will be very soon.

Re: Game9 MIN @ GSW
This was a complete team win. Lots of nice composure to withstand the GSW crowd and the flurry they hit back within the 4Q.
Wiggins and Green were pretty ineffective. Looney had awful matchup vs Gobert. Curry was matched by Ant. [thats huge]
Jaden McDaniels hustled so hard to defend Curry on switches and was burned a few times but he never gave up and fought a good defensive battle. Major player for us. Naz is so much more confident so the bench has another way to survive opponent's bench scorers.
CP3 didn't hit a shot and looked depressed on the bench. Great W. Repeat on Tuesday LETS GO!

Great game by Towns over all.
This is the Towns we should expect as long as he gets his head out of his azz. The guy is so multi talented and you win with talent. Towns needs to master himself and control that anger focused in a way that benefits him.
I still believe in him. It's not always easy.
I'm loving how they are using Rudy now. It was so easy to see what they were doing last year just wasn't going to work.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
